This hotel was a surprise. I didn't think I' d truly like it so much. The staff was extremely friendly. The decor of my room was genuinely to my persal taste and style. Great location the city market, restaurants, cafes, and social night life. Special note: The hotel's college student employee, sander, was not only willing to help me carry my bags to my room, he handles administrative matters professionally. He and the entire staff represent the hotel well. This hotel is a gem find.

Disappointed no price quality

We stayed in large canal from March 15 to March 17 in room 112.
However, the condition of the room is disproportionate to the price!
The decor seems to come from the thrift store and as far as we are concerned cannot own the predicate boutique hotel.
Here a list of some flaws: the television does not work, shadowy picture, only the Netherlands 1,2,3 can more or less be seen with the rest a weird message about ci module??.
The ceiling of the bathroom falls down with misery.
The toilet seat is crooked or loose.
There is no operating manual for the coffee machine.
No tissues in the room for the ladies to remove mascara etc.

Bad in and bad in.
Everything broken, dirty, wrong room.
Eventually didn't sleep there because it was so dirty and broken

Arrived around 6pm the receptionist was friendly and helpful.We had room 135. Top floor city view , up many many narrow stairs. The bathroom was huge with a big corner bath , walk in shower, double sinks and toilet was in a hidden recess, there was a hairdryer and two nice big bathrobes also. Absolutely spotless clean. Maybe just a little dated. The room itself had 2 narrow single beds a small sofa and some vintage furniture and lamps, it was also spotless clean and good size. No rail for hanging clothes though. Little noise from the street but no noise at all from inside the hotel in the evening. Breakfast room is lovely, very nicely set with candles, fresh flowers and tablecloths. The small buffet breakfast was very fresh. Good options and small quantities, we had bread and honey , the bread was fresh and delicious 😋. The outside area was nice, we had a look but didn't sit out. We did see a few cute dogs outside. The second night we arrived back late after a concert and found there to be a lot more noise from the street which would be expected with many people in town but managed to sleep we. Breakfast second morning was the same. The morning receptionist was also lovely and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel it was perfect. 5 minute walk from the Vrijhof , I chose it for this reason. There were also plenty shops cafes and sights in the same area.

Stunning 14th century historic building in a fantastic location within the town centre. Very nice room and a beautiful little courtyard to enjoy a morning coffee and breakfast.
I have couple of niggles though. The bath towels are wafer thin and the size of a flannel and the soft closing door mechanisms are none existent. Very loud slamming of room doors at all times of the day and night. Very annoying...
