Dream marriage
Our marriage was a fairy tale; it doesn't get more beautiful than this. We still live on a pink cloud. On 12 June we were married at Hoogenweerth Castle. We were there a few days earlier, which is really recommended. We stayed wonderfully in our honeymoon suite along with our two children.
From day one we were fully cared for and we could already walk around and explore the area. We enjoyed a drink outside, together with the staff, and chatted about what was coming. We had a great team around us, with Ivo as host.
Every day we were served by the incredibly nice and lovely people around us. I really felt like a princess. The road to our big day was accompanied by Blackbird, who was also a real winner.
Not only Ivo was there for us, Seline was also a great support on the day. On the night itself we had super nice bartenders, including Levi, who was so welcoming and thoughtful. It is also a luxury that everyone can sleep in beautiful, spacious rooms; that really adds something special to the experience.
We recommend this location to everyone. You're not going to get any better than this!

This hotel is in a lovely spot, we stayed 2 nights on a road trip and spent a full day in Maastricht which we were able to walk into about 2.5km along the river path. The grounds are beautiful, staff helpful with a well stocked minibar and breakfast delivered with fresh warm bread and croissants! We ate in SOFA restaurant next door one night and glad we booked as it was full. The room we had could do with a little upgrade, but that was the only niggle

Beautiful surroundings in and around the castle. Beautiful Maastricht
We had received 2 nights gift .Beautiful room fresh and clean .And a lovely bed.Echter after looking for the shower it appeared to be in the bathtub next to the bed .For some privicie we relieved each other outside .The breakfast was very meagre . The 2nd day even missed the brie and crackers. Wouldn't have dared to serve this basket for that money. Breakfast is a festive start to the day! Fresh yus some savory flavors like salmon , scrambled eggs and bacon .Some cucumber , tomato and fresh fruit. It doesn't have to be much of anything just spend some extra care on it. You have a beautiful location ! This gave us a bitter aftertaste. Partly because so much was paid for it. We have also indicated this at the reception.

Changing experience at the turn of the year
We were looking for a quiet New Year's Eve locate for our dog. That mission was accomplished. Except for a single bang only fireworks far away. Comes from quiet location in park just outside the city. Parking in front of the door Coach house, but very tight. Check-in/-out fine, friendly staff. Room Eve very impractically decorated. Bath in the middle of room, bed is fine just way too big for the room. No sink but clumsy angled plate. Breakfast super. Pantry with fridge fine. In the night, the CV made so much noise that we thought the Maas was walking into the room. Room is noisy anyway. Finally, we had the misfortune that our ‘upstairs neighbors’ thought they had to celebrate a party with music, dance and song during much of the night. They were called to account by the hotel, but unfortunately that was not to help. In summary, a varying to moderate feeling at our stay. For that money prefer a room in a Toucan hotel with more comfort and value for money. Unfortunately, the value for money in KdH is far from being found.

Beautiful hotel - but not for business trips
The castle is fantastic, the rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated, warm to the right point, comfortable and large beds and magnificent river views. It feels like a little paradise. Alas, however, it is not a hotel for business travelers, breakfast is served in the room from 9 am and at that time it is definitely too late. There's no chance to serve it first. I had the basket in the room the day before but I think the "original" breakfast was richer. I also find it strange that in a hotel the room information book was only in Dutch. Maybe putting it in English is a good idea. Upon returning to the room in the late afternoon / evening it is all very dark and you have the impression of being a little isolated.
