Comfortable hotel in the forest

We enjoyed 3 nights at this hotel before moving on to Hannover. The room was modern and clean and comfortable. Have never come across the Velux window opening up into a mini balcony before! Would agree about the comments of the rooms being on the top floor and under the eves. In order to use the chairs in the room, I had to move them out from under the slant of the roof. The bed was very comfortable. Good shower. Towels were a bit on the thin side, but they still did the job. The swimming pool was a treat for us and we enjoyed having a swim after a walk. You do need to bring your own towels. It was a bit of 'trial and error' to get through the changing rooms which are in the 'basement' and then going upstairs into the pool. It was all worth it.
Lots of choice for breakfast. We thought the food in the restaurant was also very nice. Can thoroughly recommend the spare ribs. Marinated, cooked 'sous vide' then grilled....sooo tender and full of flavours. I tried to do the Masterchef taste test and failed! If you go for the a la carte menu, all dishes come with chips and a salad.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Lots of walks right on the doorstep. Loved listening to all the birdsong.
Only negative comment I have is about the steepness of the steps up to the rooms, but there is a wheelchair adapted lift.

Great

Really I didn't have any expectation before but room was nice clean and wonderful views.
If you expect normal hotel with 24 service or similar please don't go but if you like a nice not standard hotel this is for you.
Have some small problems reason I don't provide 5 starts because shower area is not easy except you are looking to take a bath because roof don't permit to be vertical.
My recommendation is they move bath to different part of bathroom to simplify life of guests.
I will come back for sure

Just wonderful

In a cottage in the woods is how we felt, only the cottage is the most stylish, modern and comfortable hotel imaginable. The hotel team were so welcoming and accommodating

Pretty good Service in this hotel and really clean. The food in the Restaurant was almost perfect. The environment was not really exciting but good for walking and relaxing. Probably better during summertime...

Nette Unterkunft inmitten der Natur

Von schlechtem Wetter überrascht haben wir hier gegen 20 Uhr ohne Reservierung ein Zimmer genommen, was uns geglückt ist, obwohl die Rezeption eigentlich bereits um 19 Uhr schließt. Auch die Küche des Restaurants schließt bereits um 20 Uhr 30. Wir wurden aber trotzdem noch ohne Eile bedient.
Das Zimmer war nicht zu groß aber modern und gemütlich. Eine Minibar war nicht vorhanden, aber die sehr charmante Bedienung hat trotzdem noch ein Glas Rotwein aufgetrieben.
Das Frühstücksbuffet wirkt zunächst ziemlich überschaubar. Wir fanden dennoch alles, was wir brauchten, und geschmeckt hat es auch.
Highlight des Aufenthalts war der schwarz gekachelte, große Indoor-Pool. Weil das Hotel nur wenige Zimmer hat, kann man sich hier nach Herzenslust und ohne Platzmangel austoben.
Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, aber beim nächsten Mal vorab reservieren, um einen stressfreieren Check-In zu haben.
