In een woord Prima!!!

Lekker stekje met zeer vriendelijk personeel.
We hadden een kamer geboekt met een plekje in het restaurant. Aangekomen in het hotel werden we vriendelijke ontvangen en naar de kamer begeleid. We kregen een mooie kamer toe gewezen op de 1e verdiep met een heerlijk bad en lekkere bedden waar zelfs deze vroege volgel in uitgeslapen heeft.. het eten bestond uit een keuze menu van kleine gerechten wat erg lekker was, hierbij nog complimenten naar de keuken hoe ze dit alles voor elkaar krijgen om iedereen hierin te bedienen. Kom hier zeker nog een keer terug. Ow ja voor ik het vergeet het ontbijt de volgende ochtend was ook heerlijk. De eigenaar doet er alles aan om te zorgen dat je er met een goed gevoel vertrekt.

Unimpressed

We arrived full of expectations here for a quiet overnight stay. The welcome was unfriendly, and the room we had booked unavailable. Wanting a room with a bath, we were told that the two rooms with bath were already taken. No apologies. Offering then to leave, the manager said simply that this was “possible”. Again, no apology. The place looked sad and on the verge of closure - they didn’t care whether we were customers or not. And the dinner menu looked very unexciting.
We drove away - and found somewhere much better.

Great food giant surprise

This town restaurant was never very special, but recently new owners took over. The food is very refined and tasteful. We had a great steak tartare and home smoked salmon. As a main dish a whole grilled fish which was great and actually enough for two. It's a pity it's so quite and I hope the word will spread soon the quality of the food is very worthwhile the visit.

Perfect place to stay a night or two

I made a short business trip to Valkenswaard in the beginning of May 2013. I decided to stay at the De Sleutel, because it was only short 10 minutes ride from the town. De Sleutel is situated in the centre of the village of Riethoven. The hotel is very small and its neigbourhood is very quiet and peaceful - perfect for relaxation after a long work day. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and nice and they even offered me help to carry my luggages to the room. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. I had a very good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed and ate excelent breakfast in the morning.
Nothing bad to say, De Sleuthel Hotel is a PERFECT place to stay!

Alles mat mate

Bij toeval bij De Sleutel terecht gekomen voor avondeten. Diner was niet bedoeling maar dat kregen we ook niet. Goed bedoelde eenvoudige hap van de kaart die een cafetariakarakter had. Bediening was goed bedoeld maar weinig deskundig. Moeders kwam zelf de bordjes met eten brengen. Dat was het dan wel.Je schijnt er ook te kunnen slapen...
