No frills hotel in the heart of Rotterdam

A functional, affordable stay in a no-frills, clean place is what we were looking for and that is exactly what we got. Hotel Bienvenue is minutes from Central Station, clean and well run. Our room had two single beds, located on the ground floor with access to a shared garden. Free, fast WiFi and international television stations. Recommended if that is what you’re looking for!

Quiet, small hotel

Small, very clean hotel. Despite its location right next to the main train station, it is very quiet and is practically surrounded by greenery. The manager is very friendly and helps you carry your luggage up the admittedly very steep stairs to your room. My room had its own shower, but we had to share the toilet. The room wasn't huge but honestly, who goes to Rotterdam to sit in their room? The bed was very comfortable and again, everything was very clean.

Unfriendly owner, don't go here!!

Owner tries to take adventage and more money from guests after leaving. Complaints about a bit of WASHABLE make up on a towel and demands money before even attempting to do his laundry.
Unfriendly and unprofessional approach, avoid this place at all cost if you wanna avoid toxicity on your holidays

Hotel Bienvenue Reception closes at 21:00 which is not well informed in the website

Because the reception of the hotel closes at 21:00 hours, I lost my reservation at the cost of 100 euros. The reception closing is not informed on the hotel or Booking.com websites. The hotel only informed me of this fact the day after I could have cancelled the reservation at no cost, which frankly doesn't seem in good faith.

Outstanding!

This is my second stay and I’m even more impressed than on my previous stay four years ago. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from Rotterdam Centraal station, but in a green and leafy situation overlooking trees and a lovely canal. Room and bed were very comfortable, with a functional bathroom. A good breakfast too. But for me the highlight is the owner - not only friendly and welcoming but also extremely helpful. So glad you’re open again after Covid; I’m looking forward to my next stay when I am next in Rotterdam.
