Nice hotel as a base
Very nice hotel as a base for cycling and walking tours in Drenthe. The room was very large and also a spacious bathroom.
The hotel has its own car park and a closed bicycle storage area where bicycle batteries can also be recharged.
The breakfast buffet was diverse and we could eat outside on the terrace.
Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended for those who go to Drenthe for a few days.

Have a nice weekend away in Drenthe.
We (partner , dog and I) have been there in the weekend 7/8 March.
We had a budget room, but it was already pretty spacious. Even 2 armchairs. Other hotels can learn from that!!!
We did have a disabled toilet. Not a big deal in itself, but the mirror hung very low....
The pillow was too hard. I sleep on a Spanish pillow at home, so I am used to the best of the best. So in the future I'll bring my own pillow.
The breakfast was not very extensive (no fried bacon, fried egg , the croissants were quite small), but was certainly sufficient. Everything else tasted good.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend it.

Well arranged.
Cozy bar. Friendly staff, friendly staff. Room okay. Clean in itself, if you don't look closely. Beds very soft, to that's what you're just used to Pool nice and warm but not really clean. Breakfast reasonable. Restaurant. Dinner was good.

Scandalous treatment, stay away!
Called in August 2025 to book a 4-day package for the Ascension weekend in May 2026 for 11 people, consisting of 4 double rooms, 3 single rooms, breakfast / dinner and reservation of places in the garage for 10 motorbikes. According to Mr R*** that was not a problem but unfortunately not yet possible because a price change was coming due to the upcoming VAT increase and the prices were not yet known. It was agreed that he would keep the rooms and places in the garage in option for us and as soon as the prices were known he would contact me. All this was confirmed by Mr R*** in writing via email. When I hadn't heard anything in early January I called again to be sure. I got a lady on the phone who indeed found the mail sent but indicated that our option had expired, our rooms were already rented to another. The lady also indicated that no places can ever be reserved in the garage?! When I asked if there was an alternative possible, the lady indicated that there were still rooms available but that these were all more luxurious double rooms. I asked her if it was possible to take the rooms as an option and (in consultation with Mr R***) to send me a new proposal. I also had to consult with the other travel companions. The lady indicated that she would do this and keep the rooms in option for five days. That same day I received the promised email, but it was extremely disappointing. No apology was made for the inconvenience, no compensation was made with regard to the costs (we would have to pay the full additional price, which amounted to € 1,200,- extra) and also was not kept in option for 5 days but a decision had to be made that same day. We have therefore decided not to use the proposal because the confidence in Hotel de Stobbe is completely gone. So we now have to look for another accommodation for the Ascension weekend, which will probably not work anymore and our outing that we are so looking forward to can not go ahead....thank you Hotel de Stobbe!!! Really scandalous how this hotel treats people, what rude, inhospitable and disrespectful treatment. I would say DO NOT GO BECAUSE THIS DOES NOT bode well for the rest of the service either!!!!!

Purely enjoy the hospitality
We had a great stay at hotel de Stobbe around the turn of the year. Really TOP taken care of all. Very welcoming. Very good service. Owner René was also very helpful. We really enjoyed there and there was a friendly atmosphere.
