We had a room without any windows and with very poor air conditioning, making it extremely uncomfortable. The room was also dirty, and there was a strong sewage something smell in the hallway.
Although we had booked two nights, we chose to leave after the first night because we simply couldn’t imagine staying there any longer. We didn’t ask for a refund. We just wanted to get out. Leaving was definitely the best decision we made during our holiday.

Don't do it!

I booked here for an overnight stay on Saturday. The weather was nice and so the prices in Scheveningen rose, but fortunately I had already booked, right? Wrong. Fox canceled my booking. She claimed they couldn't charge the money so she cancelled without communication less than 24 hours in advance. Booking could just write off, 0 confirmation also went just fine, but write off was never tried, because I also had no failed attempt. I was allowed to book the same room for more than double, sympathetic, wasn't it?
When I called, I got a young man on the phone who was speaking half slang to me. at one point he shouted at his colleague "You know how it works, bro?". Apparently, they found this state of affairs very funny. Mostly, I feel sorry. Yet I remained friendly and ended the conversation, a pity that there are still scammers in 2026.
My advice, look for a hotel with a little more quality.

There is no staff before 11 and after 19. So I could not give a review on that point. But the tablets available for check in and check out were practical, worked perfectly, and the interface user friendly.
Rooms are very well equipped, nice, beautifully lit and extremely well cleaned.
But...
I had a room on the groundfloor, immediately next to the entrance lobby. And it was EXTREMELY NOISY ! The door between the entrance and the rooms hall does not close automatically, and the room door is not soundproof at all.
I could hear every person, every group coming in and going out, laughing, yelling, rolling the luggage, slamming their room door, making every possible kind of noise, until very late in the night and from very early in the morning. I had ear taps, but even then, I spent a very bad night because of the noise.
Other very annoying detail: there is a light besides the bed, on the floor, that switches on automatically when you get up in the night, so that you can see the way to the toilet, for example. It is cleverly thought, but the sensors may be too sensitive, and the light switches on and wakes you up every now and then, when you move in the bed, when you put your foot out of the sheets, when the sheets goes slightly out of the bed frame. It makes something like 8-10 times during the night.
Despite those details, I definitely would recommand Fox Hotel Scheveningen, but with the floorlight switched of, and very far away from the entrance lobby. :-)

Basic hotel, effectively just a bed, a shower and a paid coffee machine in the lobby. Nothing cosy about it, but clean, safe and close to the tram line and restaurants on the beach.
