Pleasant

Enjoyed a nice meal outside on the beautiful terrace.
Very friendly staff who had a chat and asked a few times if everything was to your liking. I really appreciate this.
Food was delicious and fresh.
Many delicious types of beers.
Highly recommended.

Fine place to dine.

Nice location with great food, also good vegetarian food, a friend was pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian rendang! Friendly staff, a tip for the service; if you offer a sauce with a dish, say that it has to be paid extra.

Lovely pub, but the overnight stay...

We, two couples, stayed here 1 night on a cycling trip. It is a really nice brown pub existing since a couple of centuries, but that's its main goal; enjoy the pub and its pub-food and drinks. Lots of beers on tap. Cosy atmosphere as the locals hang out there as well. Friendly staff, but you find that almost everywhere in Holland ;) Good breakfast starting at 08:00. Safe place for the bicycles.
So, a lot of positives but why only 3 stars then?
Well, because of the overnight stay. Sharing a bathroom and 1 toilet with 4 other rooms is not our thing anymore.

Cosiness asset

Delicious brown pub with delicious (also local) beers. Even Belgian beers on tap that we had never seen on tap in Belgium.
Also good pub food, everything was fresh and tasteful.
We had a really nice time there, be sure to take a look yourself!

Bring on that special beer

In front of us was the end point of a Pieterpad stage. Fancy a drink! If your choice is a special beer, you've come to the right place. No fewer than 90 to choose from. The café area is pleasantly furnished with wooden furniture and an abundance of (nostalgic) accessories.
