Very sorry to go through this wn hope that there are not even more people affected

Very unfriendly you paid 250 euros online you arrive at reception they ask 250 deposit. Because it is supposedly in the general woorvalue checked the whole website where it is. But find nothing can't even get in you have to press wers ok and still you have nothing. So I got a standard room because you didn't cry back either. Never again a van der valk bunch of exploiters and scammers.

This stay was not great

We where staying at the hotel for two days, the second day we put our towels on the floor to make sure that we would get new ones and then we where heading of on our day trip with our bikes to Den Haag. When we got back they had taken our towels but didn't get us any new ones, they hadn't made the bed (which you expect at a hotel in this price range), cleaned anything or emptied the trash. I though this was ok, everyone can make mistakes. But then I realised that some stuff was missing. So someone was in our room and took headphones, charger, power bank, etc. which was placed at the desk in the room. We went down to the reception and they said that they would talk to the boss and the cleaning staff and then contact us. The boss called us 2 hours before our flight was leaving saying that "they would report it to the police if they though that someone had taken anything, but they wouldn't" basically saying that WE misplaced or lost our stuff. This made me really disappointed, and it felt like they didn't really care or believe us.
The rooms are not that great either, except the bed that was the highlight of the hotel!

More a hostel then hotel

The hotel on the outside looks nice but on the inside its a disaster. The carpets are fall of stains. The halls are really plain, its really depressing. The rooms are ventilated, so it gets pretty stuffy inside especially the bathroom. The balconies are dirty, sigarettes everywhere and plastic glasses. The indonesian tapas restaurant was not good too. You would expect a bit of quality but food was out of kitchen in less the 5 minutes and there is absolutely no taste to it, tastes preheated. The breakfast room looks like they don't clean, crumbs everywhere. 9 euros for breakfast is a rip off. The eggs are cold and so i the bacon. You dont hav emuch choice to what you can eat. Its a 1* breakfast. Its a breakfast you would get in a hostel if you are lucky. The hotelstaff also act/are undertrained. I wouldnt recommend staying here unless your really on a budget.

Rotting tomatoes and plastic cups under the bed!!!

Isolated yes, but also a lot of nature. Spooky room? I do not agree. Personal? Very friendly.
We booked the hotel and did not expect something fancy. The accommodation is fairly priced, so we adjusted the expectations. Due to the tapestry, my asthmatic friend started sneezing and wheezing. So the receptionist was very helpful and gave us another room which looked more recently decorated or at least better cleaned.
During the packing we got a hygienic scare. In one room was a rotting tomato under the bed. And the new room had dirty empty cups under the bed, as well as a lot of dust, also behind the tv.
In all, this is NOT acceptable. The missing accent tables next to the bed. Oke. The strangely placed mirror in the bathroom, perpendicular to the washing table, original. But rotting vegetables and waste under the bed? A BIG NO !!!!!!!!
Either they have to change their cleaning personnel or protocol, or this cannot be a hotel. This will be a never again . The second star is for the friendly personnel, otherwise it would have been only one star

Next to a Busy Road

We stayed for one night as we were travelling. The hotel is very isolated next to a noisy road. The lift was very small and slow which made getting to our room very irritating. The room was a standard hotel room in need of some updating and maintenance. The carpet was grotty what I thought was a pattern was a big stain. The beds were comfortable enough and the shower had problems draining leaving a big puddle. The breakfast was lacking in a English Tea bag so no tea only coffee. It was a standard continental breakfast nothing too special but not too bad. I wouldn't stay here again.
