Lucky find!

It was lunch time and we decided to try and find a restaurant in Oostknollendam (Wormer council). We found this lovely place on the waterfront and what a lucky find. Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice menu, lovely food - well presented - and decent prices. All in all a great lunch!

Good customer service, good food and surrounding but very low hotel quality

Stayed with family unfortunately not family friendly. We got two rooms rather one family.
Good food and location but the toilet and bathroom is very very basic. No towel or cloth holders. Pot and shower shares same wet area too basic.
Management need to update this.
Staying in summer it was unusually hot even with two fans in one small room.
Luckily there was a fly mesh on the window and small opening for ventilation.
This was enough for huge fly swamp. Check the pics

Unexpected !

Needed a place where to stay that wasn’t too far away from the company I visited in Wormer, so I picked this Hotel...I did not expected to find landscape, the location is on a lake, there is a small marina with boats and all the rest, a very nice restaurant and pub , pool table and darts included at a very reasonable cost.
I will surely go back and this time I will try a larger room booking in advance.

Family gathering.

This was booked by a family member for us all to go to our Dutch family celebration nearby. It is situated on a lake, very nice setting, very reasonably priced.
It was very clean, restaurant good, breakfast fantastic ( pay extra for breakfast)The minuses very steep spiral staircase that I stumbled on and fell. It is not good for older people with mobility problems and there is no lift. The room we had was very small, but the beds were very comfortable and spotless, it is quite basic but adequate.
A plus point, coffee and tea making facilities are on the landing and the staff are extremely friendly.

Nice dinner, more like good pubfood

I had a good group dinner at Hofjes. It is too bad it is so dark around the restaurant, as it is near the water which should be nice. The food was nice, I had a good sateh and the chocolate mousse for dessert was fine too. It was not very exquisite or special, but it was good food. I was a bit disappointed by the chocolate mousse with creme the menthe sauce, as the creme the menthe sauce was very little and it had not a really strong taste. The staff was really nice and friendly. It is not easy to reach by public transport though...
