Had a great experience! Fine staff who give you a warm welcome. Also the room was neat, spacious and equipped with everything comforts. Also a sweet card which was ready for a snap. Beautiful resort in a fantastic location.

A Wonderful Stay
Already done many wellness resorts in NL, but this one was 1 with a golden lining.
The luxury of having a hotel room accessible from the sauna complex is grandiose.
Instead of your stuff in a locker, just everything in your hotel room.
Staff very pleasant, public also just lovely.
No groupon/social deals audience.
Keep it that way, we'd rather pay a little extra than be inundated by discount crowds.
Food, drinks, breakfast all very well liked.
When the renovation is finished, we will be happy to come and take another look.

Hugely enjoyed it!
Greatly enjoyed 2 days sauna and a night in the beautiful room upstairs in the Fortwachterswoning. Despite hot days, the room was good to keep cool, the bed slept wonderfully and everywhere are cots so you always find a nice spot.

Two days of immersion in peace and relaxation!
A two day stay Wellness and Hotel was blissful. Staff is helpful and very friendly in all areas! The treatments delicious and professional. The food just right! We will definitely be back!

For our 11th anniversary of friendship we booked one night in the Ford Guards House (room 222) of Fort Resort Beemster. The plan was to relax together. What we got was an experience that will be etched in our memories for a long time to come.
Let's start with the biggest flaw of our stay: after two days we had to go home again.
Room 222 is truly a gem. A lovely room with a private terrace and inside another mega corner sofa where you can completely relax. The absolute highlight was the sunset from the island near the dome. I don't know who's responsible for directing nature there, but that person deserves a bonus. Sheep in the meadow, hares jumping through the field, a church in the background, beautiful cloudy skies and colors you almost think someone painted. It felt like a living painting. Such an image of which you know: I will never forget this. We spent over an hour looking at this beautiful scene.
The saunas were fantastic. The chatty sauna on the island with those lovely rocking chairs is a place where you spontaneously decide never to turn on your phone again. The Bird’s Nest sauna was also great; relaxing with a view over the water while the world does not exist.
The pourings were delicious and with just the extra kick at the end. The massage was really great. Not such a standard treatment where everyone gets the same, but completely tailored to our body. We both came out reborn.
What also stood out was the staff. What wonderful people work here. The ladies at the reception deserve a pay rise as far as we are concerned. From the first moment we felt welcome. Everyone congratulated us on our friendship anniversary and there was even a sweet card waiting for us.
During our stay we discovered that the air conditioning in the room could use a cleaning. However, this was resolved so quickly and professionally that it deserves a compliment. Apologies, a thoughtful present in the room and a sincere attitude. That's how you treat guests.
The breakfast deserves a special mention. Delicious freshly prepared dishes, delicious smoothies, lots of choice and cleverly designed to prevent food waste. And as an oat appuccino lover, I became completely happy. In many wellness resorts you still have to ask for that as if you were ordering something very exotic, but here it was just arranged.
The restaurant was also a pleasant surprise. Delicious sandwiches, good food and prices where you don't feel like you have to take out a second mortgage first.
The renovation that is currently underway looks promising. The resort is already beautiful, but it looks like it will be even more beautiful. We can't wait to see the end result.
Of course, there are still a few small dots on the I's. The shower head in our room had some problems with limescale. In some corners of the panoramic sauna, an extra duster would occasionally not hurt. Like some little touch-up dots. And the infrared saunas... well... we couldn't get them to work. Maybe that's a subtle hint from the resort that the new ones are coming. In any case, we are looking forward to it.
But to be honest: these are details in a stay that was otherwise pretty much perfect.
Fort Resort Beemster has given us an unforgettable anniversary. Tranquility, nature, hospitality, wellness, delicious food and employees who genuinely do their best to make your stay special.
We will definitely be back next year.
