Excellent service

Thank you for looking after us. The staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help us. It was unfortunate there were road works carried out during the night but that was not fault of Scenic Circle Southern Cross. They moved us to a quiet room which we appreciated immensely. Thank you to the Team at Scenic Circle Southern Cross

Nice staff. Tired rooms

Great location. The rooms are a bit tired now. The lighting in the room was terrible. More lights needed and better placement of light switches too. The housekeeper tidied up daily but did not wipe down the tea/ coffee area of the hand basin area. Very nice staff. Tasty food

Well located in central Dunedin

I stayed here for two nights in May 2025. The hotel is in the central city, about three blocks from the Octagon. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around. Note: do not confuse this with the other Scenic hotel which is about two streets away.
The room had all the usual amenities, the wifi worked well, and the bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast had the usual selection of hot and cold items.
Given its location and general level of comfort, I would be happy to stay here again.

Clean and Comfortable

This is a basic hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, located in a great spot in downtown Dunedin. Shops, restaurants, and other attractions are right in the area. It is a bit noisy due to the traffic outside and we were on a high floor. There is a casino withing the hotel but we didn't bother to check it our. Breakfast was very good and the staff polite and helpful.

Good location for walking around Dunedin.

Good location for walking around Dunedin. Breakfast was excellent with good variety of fresh items. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Plenty of dining options nearby. We paid 25nzd per day for parking. Reception staff were helpful.
