We had a wonderful stay at Kaka point. Easy booking and entry process, a lovely well appointed apartment with incredible views.

The host barged in unannounced and evicted us

Never in my life have I been treated so badly. We were forced to leave by the host.
We arrived to find dozens of sandflys in the room (because the host left the door and windows open) and I had to drive about an hour to buy fly spray, which I did, to kill the sandflys.
After, I sent the host a message complaining about the sandflys in the property she arrived unannounced and insisted that we leave. She wouldn't listen to any discussion. She made us pack our bags and go immediately. My wife tried to reason with her but she was beyond reasoning (I stayed out of the discussion).
In the short time I was there I flushed the toilet but there wasn't enough water pressure to wash my hands until the toilet cistern had finished filling.
The host had also failed to warn us about the road works that were taking place a few metres from the property's front windows.

Lovely place to stay. When we arrived, the property was very clean and looked newly refurbished, but the most stunning was the panoramic view of the ocean. Usually we eat out when we’re on holiday but it was so nice in the property that we went to the grocers in the next town and cooked for ourselves. Then walking along the beach just across the road. The sunrise in the mornings are a joy to watch.
A few basic supplies were also left for us.
Well done to Lisa for a most enjoyable stay :)

Excellence personified!

Easy to find location with great access to walks, sightseeing locations and the beach.
Welcoming warm space with wonderful views and amenities - including a telescope and a fabulous spa bath which we made good use of. Very well kept and looked after.
The host, Lisa, was wonderful. Exceptionally helpful and accommodating.
Although on the main road with occasional traffic at no time were we disturbed by the noise of it. Being able to hear the waves on the beach was wonderful.
I’d happily pay the price again as it was everything we hoped for and more.

Excellent studio in great location.

Delighted that you have been part of the honeymoon trip. Excellent and charming apartment, well equipped and located in an area that we loved about New Zealand. Great views. We'd be back.
