Best place in Masterton to stay

Great stay, exceptional rooms, with antique furniture. Wide hallways and quiet enough. Great value for money, fabulous service. Can’t fault it.

Lovely rooms with private patio

I recommend this motel withour hesitation. Beautifully furnished room with loads of space and a private patio and parking close to the room. The manager also took us to see the room before we booked in, which was helpful. My only disappointment is that there was no indication on the in-room menu that breakfast has to be ordered the night before, so we had to go elsewhere while we had anticipated eating breakfast prior to our departure. Otherwise, this was an excellent motel.

Clean and spacious rooms
Not a spec of dust in sight even the remote control was clean looking.
Easy and early check in
Offers late check out and early check in for a small extra charge.
I stayed 7 years ago and it was immaculate then and it's still an immaculate facility now.

Loved Gateway Motor Inn at Masterton

Absolutely loved Gateway - we stayed in the "Bonecrusher" Room.
Really warm, spacious and comfortable.
Even though it is on State Highway 2, we didn't hear any road noise
Definitely has a lot of character.
Historically, structure was horse stables and rooms are named after champion thoroughbreds
Breakfast was generous, warm and well-cooked.
Rupi and other staff were really welcoming and helpful.
Gateway will always be our first option for when we visit our best friends next time

Lovely warm room on our arrival - Great place to stay!

We stayed at the Gateway Motor Inn for 4 nights. Our visit was under trying personal circumstances due to a loved family member passing. Rupi was very caring and an awesome host, making sure our stay was as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Thanks again. Judy (Tauranga)
