Nice, but expensive

We stayed in the new miners row cottage.. it was very nice. BUT for 255 it was the more expensive room on our trip, including the hotels in Queenstown and Dunedin...

Price

Had a family gathering in Reefton , stayed at Dawsons , was very disappointed in the rooms they do not reflect the price , 180 a night , the rooms are very tired looking and need of a revamp . No hand towels in any of the 6 rooms we booked .
Staff were very friendly and food was good .

Super helpful amd friendly staff, with lots of local knowledge, good food, warm rooms and great atmosphere and character

Reefton pub

Was in Reefton for a night and decided to go for a drink.Walked over to Dawsons pub,a few in there for a Monday night,great service even had big bottles of DB

Average but warm

Grateful to get their last room available but it was average. Warm though & comfortable enough & not badly priced. Great they have a restaurant! Shower wasn't really hot enough even when put on max temperature. Friendly staff. Good heater.
