If you like being treated like a suspect instead of a guest, this is definitely the place for you
Enjoy regular power outages from day two – no AC, no comfort, just heat. Apparently that’s normal here.
Checkout felt like a crime scene investigation. Every fork counted, luggage searched, zero trust. Funny enough, at check-in nobody showed or documented anything, so guests are just supposed to guess what exists.
Then the highlight: we were accused of stealing a bathrobe. A bathrobe we never saw, never used, and didn’t even know was supposed to exist. The only bathrobe we saw was a damaged one hanging in a completely different room. The wardrobe in our private room (which only my husband and I had access to) was completely empty on arrival.
Still, we were asked to pay 100,000 Naira for this imaginary item.
The attitude? Rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. In the end we were forced to pay 40,000 Naira anyway – plus another 20,000 for an old, already defective pot.
So just to summarize: no power, no proper check-in, but surprise accusations and charges at checkout.
We came from abroad with gifts – apparently just to be treated like thieves and steal a used bathrobe.
We planned to come back. Not anymore. Never again !
