Nice hotel, great hospitality

The room is big enough and clean, bed is very comfort. Breakfast was very taste, with variety of food. There is a free parking space in the front of the hotel.
In general, without a penalty ... I would only give the hotel three stars instead of four.

To be avoided

Modest little hotel located outside the old town of Skopje. The 4 stars declared are a mirage. The room was not rearranged television and broken mirrors in reception only ghosts. Very modest breakfast. To be avoided.

Not an European standard but still ok

This is an interesting hotel. Most emphatically not 4 stars by any standard. But there were good things.
First - price. At €35 a night with a little breakfast it wasn’t bad. The breakfast lacked fresh fruit and variety of cereal but had salty meats and cheeses and olives etc and bread and eggs. The lady who served it was a Gorgon but could be kind if you made a connection.
Second: location: 5 min to old bazaar, 10 min to stone bridge, definitely convenient and well served by transport and food places of all sorts.
Less good:
24/7 reception - no, not really. The owner’s two kids work there and are not that reliable. Charming and apologetic but not reliable. Athena, one of the reception team, was amazing. Cleaning and breakfast staff don’t speak English and can be very kind if you are kind, so remember to be kind. This isn’t a place that would get any stars by European standards of hospitality but if you make an effort it will pay off.
WiFi - turned off at night as is heating/ air con. This creates issues if you expect something more “European”. No kettle in the room.
Condition - old and tired building. Lots of chips on paint, lots of rips on upholstery and curtains, steps to get to reception from front door are completely inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues or prams.
Hot water - can take as long as 15 min to arrive so make time for your shower.
Overall Macedonia is still learning how to cater for tourists so don’t expect too much and be kind, ask with a smile!

Not great, but not bad...

We stayed with my wife on March 24–27, 2025. The location had the advantage that it was close to the upper door of the old souk. It was old but clean. The room is not available for cleaning unless you request.
Breakfast was divine, and the first day was only used. The delicious Skopje beans have satisfied.
Price / performance hotel. We paid £4600 for 3 nights.

Unusual breakfast experience

My breakfast experience was ruined and disturbed. It was 7:30 in the morning when I went in the lobby to eat breakfast. Everything was set up, food and some drinks, so I too me it looked like is ready and I can have a meal. So I started with puriing juice, and there is a strange woman looking at me like in horror movies. Dressed somehow casual, I couldn't tell she's actually an employee. I drink my juice there standing and she's giving me a hand, thout she wants to say hi, but actually she wants me to give her the glass so she can take it away. I was completely confused. So ok, I am thinking this woman, even though she has this bad facial expression, she is just helping and obviously working here... after that, I started serving myself some food, and here she is, completely disappointed and upset, talking to me on Albanian, which I don't understand. A random girl across me translated me. She was trying to tell me with her passive-aggressive weird behaviour that the breakfast starts from 8, and the time was 7:30. So dear people, if you ever sleep there and you're having breakfast, please go to eat at 8 because you will make this elder lady very upset and disappointed without you even understanding what the hell is going on of you dont speak her language!
