Fabulous week in Bergen
Just back from a fantastic week in the Comfort Hotel Bergen. The staff were exceptional, especially Linda who sorted us out at short notice with a breakfast when we realised our early trip meant we would need to leave before breakfast. Not easy as I'm gluten free but she had something ready for us and the wonderful chef let us help ourselves to cereal and cold food while he was setting up. The staff really made our visit special. They treat guests like family even when they were very busy. Breakfast was great with goid gkuten free options. The hotel itself only needs a paint refresh but that didn't bother us. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a great view. It was a very hot week so the room was warm with no air con. That wasn't a problem for us. There are no fridges or tea/coffee facilities in the room. There is an ironing room on 7th floor free to use. The location was great - less than 5 mins walk to the airport bus stop and no more than 10 mins to walk to fish market and Bryggen. Its a very easily walkable area and being towards the end of the port and set back a street, it was quiet at night. We would stay here again. We used it as a base for 3 fjord trips and it was perfect for us.

The had great maps and provided a fan when needed. Room was nice with just a garden/ hill view. Breakfast was good and varied. Location was awesome for walking around Bergen.

Nice location, very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. My only complaint is mattress’ not very comfortable.

We booked 2 different stays at this location during our stay in Norway. Our second stay was for one night and my husband noticed the gentleman checking in before us was given a discount on his parking. My husband then asked if we could also get a discount since we were parking our rental car over night and we were accommodated. Unfotunately, during our first 3 day stay we weren't told about a parking discount.

Practical
Well-located hotel, clean, good breakfast, small bathroom with the shower opening onto the toilet, well soundproofed, apparently full and we didn't hear any noise. The plus, a rooftop with 3 tables but for me more in line with a 3-star hotel.
