Excellent stay

Me and my grandma has been in Stor Elvdal Hotel many times, and for each time we we would like to come back. It is a small hotel with 11 rooms, and friendly staff and cozy environment. The rooms are good, a little outdated but they are improving very fast. The bed is better than mine and the best bed I have ever slept in. The floor in the bathroom is heated, but the shower was a little outdated.
But, they are improving. And there is a mini bar for everyone down the corridor, which is nice. The breakfast room is small, but has everything you need. From bread to bacon and eggs it has everything in need. They have also a lot of drinks. For example coffe and juice. The restaurant is really good, but there is not that much in the meny. But the food quality is at the top. You can have a classic Norwegian lunch, like waffles to salmon. The food is great but it can be a little expensive. But I think it is worth the money. Overall we had a great stay and you should come visit this place

Mostly. Very special experience.

Are you looking for an experience of the very rare? Choose a guided tour through a museum of unique works with a very dedicated art historian Pål Sagen, followed by a gourmet dinner of the rare. Give the responsibility for the food experience to Chef Get, and you will understand what I mean. Pleasure. Should definitely be experienced.

Good food and service

I have stayed at this hotel several times in connection with work in Koppang. The experience has been a little different in relation to who works, but overall it has been nice to stay there.
What draws the experience with the hotel up is the good food and service. They have an incredibly skilled chef and most who work there stretch a little longer than what I’m used to for the customer to have a good stay.

Charming but tired hotel

Østerdalen is not Norway’s most charming road route. Not far from Koppang we are still met by an older, charming hotel, centrally located in what looks like a municipal centre. Old and protected yes, but with great need for renovation indoors, especially when it comes to guest rooms with associated bathrooms. The restaurant should be praised for good food and nice and fast serving, but minus for the thinnest Aperol Spitz we have ever been served. A nice patio is attached to the restaurant. Why you choose jazz music as "background noise" in such a place is incomprehensible and inappropriate.
