Very picturesque

We spent a night in these very picturesque and characteristic red wooden houses. Rooms spartan but very nice. In addition, the house also has a part in common with the other guests where there is a kitchen and a very nice and cozy living room. The view outside the room is spectacular. Discreet dinner, sufficient breakfast

It's worth it

The fishing huts are spacious, cozy us nice. The Norwegian cuisine in the restaurant is very delicious. Staff at reception and restaurant friendly. In addition, next door is the worthwhile seafood center .

Different accommodation

It was the first time we stayed in accommodation like this and we loved it. These wooden houses with sea view are really nice: they were composed of 2 rooms with private bathroom. The only thing in common was the sitting room with kitchen and the balcony. The room was very basic but clean. The bathroom nice spacious, although the shower did not close well. The restaurant was above the reception, both nights we ate well, both soups and meat and fish main courses. Varied breakfast. Friendly staff, even the lady at reception. I liked this solution, different from usual

Nice place for a short stay

A quiet and cozy place a bit off the track. The complex with the various Rorbu’s is extensive, but still does not appear large. Our Rorbu was spacious, very clean and comfortably furnished. The view of the small port was OK. In the Restuarnt you can then notice the conference center flair. It is functional, large but not necessarily cozy. Nevertheless, the food is very good and the service very friendly and attentive.

Quaint and picturesque.

Beautiful location because we were blessed with great weather. Rain and cold would have delivered a different experience. "Traditional" experience tailored for tourists. Essentially replicas of cottages built for fisherman and adapted tor tourists. They were all clean and well maintained. I found it interesting, my wife found it uncomfortable. We were booked for two nights as part of an organized bus tour and assigned one of three bunk rooms in a three room "fishing" cottage. The cottage also provided a large common area that was a combined kitchen, dining, and sitting area. The view from a picnic table outside our cottage was beautiful. The bunk rooms were simple with a twin bed on each side and a bathroom with a shower. Heaters but no air conditioning presented a challenge with the small sleeping area and uncommonly warm temperatures during our stay. You could open a window above your head or just deal with the heat. I got a cold because I went with the window option. All meals were served in a common dinning room located in a building at the other end of the cottage complex (3-5 minute walk at the most). We were scheduled for each meal (breakfast buffet and dinner with a set menu) with our tour group. We purchased some coffee from the front desk so that we could have an early cup before our scheduled breakfast. The front desk graciously offered us to retrieve us some milk from the dining hall.
