Very good city center hotel in the best location.
A hotel in a prime location right in the city center, yet quietly situated in the courtyard. We had a good price of about €334 for two people for 2 nights. I find that completely acceptable. We had a small corner room with a very narrow bed, to be fair. Coordination is needed if one wants to turn around. The bathroom and room were otherwise okay. Cleaning or emptying the trash can is not done "for sustainability reasons." Okay, that's a pity. At least one could empty the trash can. Breakfast was okay. I did not enjoy the coffee very much, and I missed fruit salad and another cheese specialty. For fans of eggs, bacon, and sausage, everything was available.
The beautiful entrance area and the bar are worth mentioning; I really like that.

That said, we are sorry to understand that the room provided did not meet your expectations regarding the size. We would be more than happy to recommend a different room category which might suit you better for a potential future visit.
We do daily housekeeping, including cleaning and emptying the trash of all rooms every day, unless we are specifically asked not to or if you have the DND sign on the door. The only exception was during the National strike in the hotel- and restaurant industry earlier this year – where we temporarily paused our daily cleaning.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the breakfast selection, and we will make sure to keep this in mind while working on making improvements for the future!

Centrally located hotel with minor issues
The hotel is situated in the pedestrian zone and is adjacent to the parliament and national theater. The prices are at the highest level (2 nights in a double room for €730, which does not correspond to the services provided). On one hand, there is no daily room cleaning (only upon explicit request), the windows cannot be opened wide (as they are locked), the electrical outlets in the room only work when the lights are turned on, and the television only offers programs in Norwegian.
The breakfast buffet has deteriorated somewhat compared to last year; the ginger shot has disappeared from the offerings, and honey is only available in a low-quality plastic container. Breakfast is offered on weekends starting at 7:30 AM; if one wishes to travel to Bergen by the Bergen Railway at 8:25 AM, one must largely forgo breakfast.
The breakfast buffet has deteriorated somewhat compared to last year; the ginger shot has disappeared from the offerings, and honey is only available in a low-quality plastic container. Breakfast is offered on weekends starting at 7:30 AM; if one wishes to travel to Bergen by the Bergen Railway at 8:25 AM, one must largely forgo breakfast.

That said, we are sorry to understand that the national strike in the hotel industry had such an impact on your stay. Due to the strike, we are indeed shorter staffed than usual. This left us no choice but to prioritize the most important aspects of the guests’ stay to ensure the most comfortable experience possible.
Our daily cleaning of the rooms is therefore temporarily paused, and we do not clean the room automatically every day as usual. However, everything you could possibly need is still available upon request in our reception. We handle all guest requests gladly and accommodate in every way possible.
As for the windows, these cannot be fully opened due to safety measurements. However, they can be tilted open to let in fresh air in all rooms. The television offers Norwegian channels, as well as the streaming apps downloaded. You are also able to cast from your own device if wished for.
Due to our central location, there is indeed some noise coming from the street life. While we cannot control external noises, such as vehicles – we appreciate your feedback and will do our very best to improve this aspect of the stay.
Our breakfast buffet does indeed open one hour later during the weekend, however it also lasts one hour longer. For early departures we do offer a breakfast to-go option which is available upon request in our reception.

The room was so comfortable and cozy. They were very accommodating adding a second room for our young adult children. We all especially enjoyed the breakfast and all the healthy options.

This hotel has a great location in Center City. The breakfast is massive and fabulous. The room is spare, small kind of gray and dark as are the hallways.
