One word: WOW! Clean, great location, very friendly welcome when checked in (thank you ABDI for top customer service and customer appreciation!) Breakfast was wonderful and plenty! We would like to say a special thank you to Marcos and leave a great shoutout to ANGELA and AMALIE!
We have traveled around the world and can truly say that these ladies are in it for the right reasons. They love serving their customers. Being greeted with such a great, genuine smile in the morning and seeing them work so hard to satisfy their (not always friendly or appreciative) customers only deserves one verdict: PERFECT - A+++! We hope that they will be in the loop for the next promotion. Thank you Scandic St. Olavs Plass!

No aircon and 30c outside was a problem.
Two soft single beds pushed together in a double room. It may be a matter of preference - but too soft for me.
For the price I guess the room was ok but a bit underwhelming.

The room faced into the atrium, and consequently the window did not open. Ventilation was poor, it was rather warm and stuffy, and the room smelt vaguely of sour milk. It was not a pleasant experience.

It’s a 3 star hotel.

Reasonably central location - 10 minute walk to the National Theatre area.
The hotel is over 7 floors and the corridors don’t get aired (same with the rooms, so it can feel a bit stuffy. The carpets in the corridors are a dirty blue which does no favours for the overall atmosphere.
Rooms are ok - not big. But no kettle or fridge. Stowage space (drawers etc) is poor.
Downstairs there is a bar (which we didn’t use) and the staff are helpful and fairly cheerful.
The breakfast is pretty good - but you do need
to plan your arrival ad it gets very busy. (Helpful signs to remind you)
If you have to leave early, they will do you a packed breakfast ( muller corner sort of thing, fruit juice and a ham and cheese sandwich) You can also get o coffee from the machine on the ground floor

Cramped accommodation with spacious balcony

There were both good and bad things about our stay.
The first shock was the size of the room (636). In the booking it was called Queen room, but I think the Queen had been a bit crowded The following surprise was the balcony which was as big as the room and really useful, especially when it wasn't raining.
The biggest problem we experienced was the cleaning. I tried to get a comment on allergy cleaning when booking, but it had probably not been implemented in practice. The dust rats ran right towards us. For two people with dust allergies, this caused major breathing problems, especially during sleep.
There were a few more imperfections in the room, including the AC door that seemed to come off and a power outlet that was really loose. That's probably a danger.
There are a lot of Scandic in the Oslo area, but the biggest reason I chose you was the ”sauna”. It is a bit ironic with its placement as a scrub to the gym. Not quite practical to walk with sweat dripping through the gym to the shower. It was also a bit tricky because you could not lock yourself into the ”closet”. And the towels were probably too small to wrap themselves in for a communal sauna. But as I said, positive that it existed.

Very good location
