Waterfront charm and comfort

My fifth visit to Risor, and staying at the Risor Hotel made it the best. Our room looked out on the water, with views of the harbor and little islands. Our stay was close to midsummer, and the views of the water during the night were very special. The room was sparkling clean, the beds very comfortable. Delicious breakfast, lots of choices, including herring (my favorite). Mona, the owner, greeted us at the front desk, and was helpful beyond anything I would ever have imagined during our stay.

Poor service

Booked two double rooms (4 people). Made the mistake not to check the rooms before heading out. Coming back after dinner, we discover that one room only has one pillow/comforter. Hotel reception is gone for the night and answer machine gives no phone# to call. Nights are cold in Norway, so slept in jacket and fully dressed. Next day, reception staff apologize for mistake and says that we will be refunded for the room. In days that follow, the hotel refunds only 15% , arguing that they reduced the room price from 2 to 1 person. Makes no sense and does not compensate for the inconvenience.

Det som skrives her er ikke riktig fremstilt og etter flere mailer og samtaler, velger Dere å legge dette ut på en slik måte at det skal fremstå på en så dårlig måte som mulig for oss.
Vi stenger resepsjonen kl 18, dette står det godt opplyst både på bekreftelse og i samtale, Dere ble ringt etter da Dere valgte å ikke sjekke inn til denne tiden, tross at Dere var rett i nærheten. Vi ventet på Dere i 45 minutter for å yte service.
Da dere kom valgte dere å gå rett ut igjen istedenfor å sjekke rommene, Dere valgt å sende oss en mail kl 2350 istedenfor å ringe oss, vi har døgnvakt på telefon og er kun 2 minutter unna. Dette har jeg forklart i mail. At Dere nå velger å gjøre om på historien til å høres ut som dere prøvde å ringe(noe Dere ikke gjorde) Dere booket heller ikke 2 dobbeltrom, men 1 dobbeltrom og et enkeltrom. Hvorfor Dere mener at en frokost ansatt skulle ha myndighet til å gi Dere rom gratis er også noe underlig. JA vi beklager at vi gjorde en feil, vi har ønsket å rette opp i det selv om Dere ikke er fornøyd, men trusler om å legge ting ut på nett hvis man ikke får det slik man ønsker, det kan vi rett og slett ikke akseptere.
