Lovely location

We loved the nearby beaches. You can go for a walk all along the coastline and it is magical.
Just be aware that the store on site is not always open after late august.

Very nice campsite!

Nice campsite, well maintained and the sanitary facilities are clean. Beautiful place, beautiful beach and you are so in the cozy Mandal. Bike or run through the woods, how nice!
One disadvantage: we were there from 15/8 and the season was apparently already over. So that nice Stjerna Beach Bar is not open and Vigeland Hus in Mandal is closed too.

Nice beach but bring enough food

15th of august is no longer high season, so the store on the camping site had no bread, no milk, no nothing... Very inconvenient.
Our accomodations were great and the beach nearby is nice and not crowded this time of the year. We had a quiet and calm stay.

Our favorite camping!

- Applicable to camping with caravan-
Have lost the count of how many times we have traveled here. At least once a year, sometimes two. Sjøsanden has become our favorite campsite!
Nice large places, we choose a large set on asphalt with grass. Large and new playground suitable for the smallest and largest. 2 sanitary where one is quite new. Very good condition.
A few steps away is the beautiful large sandy beach. Located several beaches a walk away if one would change place. The campsite has outdoor showers so that one can wash off the sand or wash the dog - very dog friendly space.
Get some southern mood at the beachfront restaurant or take a walk along the beach promenade.
Beautiful and many hiking trails in every corner. Perfect for a walk, jogging, cycling.
Walking distance to cozy Mandal city centre
The campsite has a kiosk, but it is also not far to a larger store.
Can't get boasted enough, and we only have good experiences here. Stiff price, but think it's inside considering the stand on the campsite.
