Very nice stay Indeed!👌 Service exellent, very helpful and service minded staff.,😊 A great breakfast (always love that one at Scandic Stavanger,) more variations than in Haugesund imo.
1 min walk to food store, 5 min to the lovely city centre
Quiet large room on the 5th, the only thing I notice was some dust spin in the corner near the refrigerator, hard to spot at all.
I cleaned it up myself no prblemo after all this was a rom at lower cost.
Coming back for sure, but first Scandic Bergen!

Staff is very helpful and hotel is clean.
Location is convenient but access is not easy if you drive in with your own car as there is no place up front to stop the car for loading/ unloading. There is a rear access but with a slope and inconvenient access. Overall not a big issue but worth knowing.
Bed is comfortable but sleeper sofa bed (we used for kids) was extremely poor quality and uncomfortable (unlike many other hotels in Norway where it was good).

Dirty

The cleanliness of this hotel was completely unacceptable. From the hallways to the room itself, there was dirt and grime everywhere.
The sofa in our room was covered in stains, and they had simply placed a blanket over it to hide them. The inside of the closet was also dusty and disgusting, with hairs left behind by previous guests.
We were also never informed that we had to specifically request housekeeping during our stay. As a result, nobody came to clean the room, refresh the towels, or make the bed while we were there.
For the price and standard expected from a Scandic hotel, this was simply not acceptable. Basic cleanliness and housekeeping should be a given.

Central Hotel

Good quality of rooms and breakfast. Quiet and quiet. Nice staff. No parking at the hotel, but expensive parking not far away. Could advantageously be by the room between day 1 and day 2. Animal parking and lack of cleaning of rooms do not result in top score, but otherwise absolutely great.

I would have rated this hotel with 5 stars, as it had one of the best breakfasts ever and the staff was wonderful. They had a place to store our backpacks since we got there early. Our room and bathroom were very clean. The one thing that gave them 2 stars is the pull out couch made into a bed. They had it made up when we walked in, but like any pull out couch, it was a thin mattress and you could feel the springs, so I was going to pull the mattress to the floor to sleep, and both the fabric seating on the couch and the mattress were gross and disgusting filled with all kinds of stains, including bodily fluids. So I kept the mattress inside the couch and pulled off the couch seat and turned it upside down on the floor and then covered it with the sheets and covers they had for it. I did say something right away when we saw that, but we were settled in at that point, and said we'd stay there. I reported this in the morning and I sent 5 photos to scandic hotels to the email address they wanted me to send them to, and she was going to forward them up to the management team. I haven't heard anything from them in over two weeks and that's why I'm writing this. That's the only way they can sell this room, as it can sleep 3-4. There was the King bed and pull out couch. But they make the bed up, so you don't know what's under there. I wish there was a way to upload photos to this review so you can judge for yourself. Definitely would not stay in a room with a pullout couch here.
