They write their own false reviews
I stayed in Marina Hotel, Sohar, Oman in May 2023.
The family room size was 45sqm and full sea view, when I preebooked it on Booking.com
However, on arrival the actual size of our Room was less than 25sqm and looking onto some old derelict shacks. There was a side sea view, only when putting ones head out on the window.
The hotel staff was very keen to upsale us to a larger room, facing the sea, at double the price.
The staff was aggressive and lacked manners.
At departure , before checkout, they demanded us to write a positive review right in front of them, before closing out the reservation.
Which would partially explain their excessively high ratings online .
