11/10 Maria is an icon

I came here alone to see the wildlife, expecting other guests at the hotel. When I arrived I was the only guest, which was a bit creepy at first but eventually I got used to it and really enjoyed the hotel. I took an Uber from the airport, however once at the hotel no Ubers are available and a private shuttle had to be booked for $80 round trip to the city. There isn't much around which is great for privacy and wildlife but difficult for excursions.
Maria was an absolute gem and an icon and the service was excellent. She was very nice and was always around to help.
The food was great and cheap, however I was told at the end of my stay that I would be charged delivery on every meal ordered. The website makes it look like there is a restaurant on site but apparently they had been ordering from far away restaurants and charged $10-20 delivery fee on every meal, plus a 10% transaction fee without any notice.
The hotel was very well maintained, clean, the gardens were amazing, and tons of wildlife on the property. Staying only 5 days I was able to see howler monkeys, night monkeys, armadillos, three toed sloths, opossums, poison dart frogs, toucans, and tons of small birds all from the balconies. The trails around the property were difficult to walk through, however the rainforest was excellent and full of wildlife, absolutely no bugs in March and great weather.
Overall I would definitely recommend staying here for a quiet, relaxing vacation and for the wildlife.

Wonderfully peaceful and fun at the same time

It is a peaceful, beautiful, intimate place. David's attention is wonderful. It's like going to a friend's house. However, the kitchen (lunches/dinners) needs to improve a lot. The breakfasts are rich but can be improved.
You have to give the bathrooms a little love. And the pillows should be replaced with comfortable pillows.

Birdwatchers paradise

This hotel is ideally located for avid bird watchers it clean the gardens are beautiful and beautifully maintained by Emanuel. The staff try their best but food is not their strong point our meals were ok. But it would help if you bring your own snack and drinks as there’s not much to choose from. But then there are many birds to choose from we we will definitely visit again.

Nature... comfort and fun in a totally magical environment

In October 2023 was my second visit! The truth is that it is a peaceful place, with an environment full of pure air, birds of the most beautiful colors (beautiful hummingbirds) you feel like arriving at your mountain house! The super nice, comfortable, spacious and impeccable rooms! David's attention is simply magnificent! How to get to a good friend's house

Ornithologists Dream in Nature

Visited La Semilla EcoLodge from October 26 to 30th. We arrived by Taxi, just 25 minutes from Tucuman International Airport. Our room was balcony room which was clean, offering all amenities, AC, with breakfast included. The staff David and cook,Maria, were extremely friendly, excellent service. We had relaxing days in the hammock, another located at the open air breakfast area where you can enjoy bird watching while dining in the morning, an Ornithologists dream. We toured a nearby waterfall. We cannot say enough nice things about the staff and service who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We felt like we were family. The breakfast was great and all meals delicious. Thank you Semilla EcoLodge for making our stay a relaxing one, we can't say enough nice things about it. This lodge is a great location for couples, or take a break from the hustle & bustle from a busy world. Recommend you visit here first when arriving at Tucuman Airport, it will set you tempo to enjoy Panama! We will be back!
