A small corner of paradise among tropical plants and birdsong

If you come to Panama I think it is a shame to miss a stay in this little corner of paradise. The lodge is nestled in lush tropical vegetation and the jungle is outside a stone's throw away. There are hammocks to relax while listening to the song of numerous birds. In the evening you can ask to dine there between a cricket concert and the food is excellent. At lunch you can have pizza. We hiked to Lake Gatun with them and they are really professional, it was beautiful! Clément, who has been our guide, has a great passion for what he does.
If you want to bring home a beautiful memory from Panama, stay here!

Very disappointing.

Unfortunately Monkey Lodge isn’t anything like a jungle lodge. It is a quite primitive ‘lodge’ with a few cabins within a green garden, just near the highway you can hear day and night. It has a kind of zoo place where some monkeys are held.
Happy people, but service is very limited. No lunch or any service during the day.
Worse, excursions are outsourced and totally standard tourist excursions, quite far from the lodge. Excursions you can book from any place, even from Panama City.
We left after one night, leaving the 3 night booking as it was… suppose suppose there are way better options nearby.

Not worth the trip

Monkey Lodge is remote, with no nearby food options. The owner was rude on arrival, the room was basic with a dirty shower, and the pool was filthy—with dogs swimming in it. No WiFi or phone signal, so don’t expect to stay connected. You won’t see monkeys unless you pay $250 for a tour. Totally disappointing.

In the heart of nature

Very nice location, in the middle of nature, very well designed individual lodges, quiet
Fabrice and his wife are adorable as well as Max their son
We feel like a family.
The excursion to Lake Gatún with Clement as guide was superb. You can feel that he feels connected to the surrounding nature (birds , many monkeys, etc.)
Evening meals, very well cooked
Location in the center of Panama ideal for other excursions
The pool is very nice in the heart of the vegetation
I recommend unreservedly

Very expensive and few amenities

The garden is magnificent and the terrace of the bungalow is nice but I think there is a lack of information to be able to book freely at the price, very excessive in my opinion, that it has. I understand that it is in nature, and there may be insects in the room, but there was also no hot water in the shower and the damp smell of the bungalow was very intense. On the poster of the room it says that dinner is $18 but does not indicate that dessert ($6) and drink are not included and neither is 10% tax. In the end for 4 people for two nights with their dinners, we have spent almost 600$! I honestly believe it's not worth it.
