Nice Panamanian experience
I recently stayed at the Global Hotel Panama and had a really great experience. The hotel is located in the heart of Obarrio, making it easy to get around the city, visit restaurants, shopping areas, and explore Panama City. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean, with comfortable beds and amazing city views. The rooftop pool and gym were a nice bonus after a day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel is known for its boutique-style atmosphere, central location, and excellent guest ratings.
I booked my trip through Miviajeapanama, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. Their team was very helpful with recommendations, transfers, tours and local tips, making the trip even more enjoyable. Having a reliable travel agency handling the details allowed me to focus on enjoying our vacation.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Global Hotel Panama to anyone visiting Panama City, whether for business or leisure. Combined with the excellent service from Miviajeapanama, it made for a fantastic travel experience.

Rude, Tricksters and Disrespectful
I am completely dissatisfied with the hotel’s new administration and policies. I’ve been a recurrent client every month for the past 2 years and I am saddened to say I will never return again.
Theoretically they kept records of me and my family, including my sons which often stay with me. Last night at 12am they did not allow my kids which are minors and were falling asleep because the hotel lost the information. They were rude, inconsiderate, poorly helpful and the funniest, they overcharged me. I agreed to pay because my sons were very tired. Lack of respect and humanity. I am surprised they are actually willing to loose a recurrent client because of poor service and lack of common sense and organization. This is now who they are. Avoid this place. There are certainly better options near and cheaper. As they also tried to trick me saying that booking directly now would be cheaper and when I went to Booking the price was the same. This place is a joke.

Everything Was Excellent Until…
I recently stayed at the Global Hotel Panama and overall had a very positive experience. The service throughout the hotel was good, the rooms were beautiful, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and clearly very well maintained. I also appreciated the strong security presence throughout the property, which made me feel safe and comfortable during my stay.
Unfortunately, I did experience one frustrating situation involving the in-room coffee maker. The machine did not have a visible fill line, which caused water to spill while I was using it. I used two hand towels to clean up the mess myself, trying to be respectful and avoid leaving a mess behind. At checkout, however, I was charged $6.25 per towel. I was told I should have called housekeeping instead of cleaning it myself.
While I understand hotel policies regarding damaged items, I felt disappointed by how this situation was handled, especially since I was simply trying to take care of an accidental spill. The experience was embarrassing and not something I have encountered in my many years of hotel travel. Aside from that experience, the hotel itself was lovely and the stay was otherwise very enjoyable.

The most memorable and lovely staff in town.
This is the friendliest staff I have ever had at a hotel. The place is amazing. My room was wonderful, and I loved the view of the city. It was a close walk to the local supermarket. It was also a very easy walk to lots of local shopping and local restaurants. Very short rides from the hotel take you to many other neighborhoods for nightlife. I love this hotel. The single best thing about it is the amazing staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with tips on where to go for everything. I’ll start with Laura. Before I checked out of my room, I made sure not to leave anything behind. Surprise, I left an anniversary ring behind, and she took great pains to catch up to me to return it. I had no idea that I lost it. I will be forever grateful for that. Laura was fantastic, and when she cleans your room, you know it. She was also great to talk to. Then there is Kenisha, who flows seamlessly through tasks not unlike a pilot with a huge smile and a big personality. She is an absolutely lovely person who delights in people enjoying Panama. When you go to the bar, you will meet Fernando. Warm and personable, Fernando knows his sports and movies. He loves his job because he loves people and getting to know them. He is the kind of bartender that you want to talk things through with. The one that I hope will be there year after year when I return, since I will never stay at another hotel in Panama. Finally, there is Rogelio. Rogelio is the reason you stay in a hotel. He answers all the questions, including where you should eat. He seems to know everything about Panama; whatever he doesn't know, he can find. He does not make a big deal about it because under his watch, you will have what you need. He is a class act and the reason why this hotel is special. It is the one with the insiders who care enough to get you what you need and deliver it with kindness. Hotels are never perfect, but this one has the people I want to know for the rest of my life. That is priceless. Everything else is irrelevant. I will be forever grateful to this team for this trip of a lifetime, and yes, I will surely return.

Poor hotel located away from main areas.
The Global Hotel was poor and we recommend you do not use it. We had to sit and wait until nearly 4pm for our room to be ready, most of the staff were miserable and service was generally poor. In addition the aircon in our room did not work so it was stiflingly hot. Despite reporting it 3 times it was not resolved and we were not offered another room which should have been the case or at least a day’s refund in compensation. In addition, the hotel is not in the best location with very little in walking distance (even the taxi driver did not know where it was!). We suggest you look for better hotels closer to restaurants etc either near the Vía España area, in Casco Viejo or overlooking the waterfront.
