A peaceful 5 Star place on a very quiet yet not remote place in southern Panama

I feel obligated to dedicate the time to write a sincere review after our fortunate time we spent at Casa Guardia. Let me say, I could just live my life there.
A very fine conclusion for my husband and I to a five week holiday mixed in with some business buying from local artisans articles for our luxury gift shop stateside and discovering for the first time the lovely friendly country of Panama.
If you take the time having a sense of exploration in your traveling style, passing by the overcrowded all inclusive options, one can find the tucked away places. Casa Guardia can boast without pompousness, a three generation owned property that was once a place to create memories exclusively for the Guardia Family.
How fortunate we are for them to share not only their home and land but to offer fine accommodations of numerous options. One feels sincerely welcomed as not only as a paying guest who is treated with utmost respect and friendliness, but is given an opportunity, if one chooses to engage, as a old friend of the family.
The on site restaurant El Rincon De Los Tios, delegated to a friend to staff and run has no sense of separation of entities. The complimentary cooked to order breakfast switches gears and one can order food throughout the day while enjoying the impeccable grounds, the pool areas shaded gazebo, hammocks, lounge chairs, bathrooms, showers indoor or out. A very smart build-out plan to place the
accommodations on the beautifully landscaped back property and feature the easily accessible Playa Farallon and on grounds with unobstructed views of the sea.
Of course one of the highlights is to book your table for dinner, others know about this gem of a place and come from a way. Enjoy the freshest of ingredients home cooked meal options, and be lucky if the owner, talented Tony and his equally talented father Enrique hopefully plays soft yet familiar music. Tony brings to the evenings entertainment his back in his college years original solo guitar and singing style musicality. One will be pleasantly surprised and choose to repeatably return for yet another set of fine music.
Yet another highlight is to on day one book an indulging massage in a separate thatched roof gazebo also on the pool grounds. I initially underestimated the masseuses talents upon seeing this small framed Panamanian woman. Besides a quality therapeutic massage included was an indulging facial that left my five weeks in the sun and sea skin deeply cleansed, moisturized and glowing.
If so desired one can also sign up for Yoga and or a guided mediation sessions by yet another true to her profession instructor.
All that awaits on one piece of peacefully located slice of paradise on the southern shores of Panama.

Be Bougie without going broke. Felt so special staying here :)

On the beach. Private pool. Family run boutique hotel. Clean and well ran. Excellent restaurant attached. Felt you you were visiting friends in Panama instead of being tourists. So much better than a big all inclusive.

Great Place to go with a large group including teens

We booked all the rooms at Casa Guardia for our entire family, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. Tony and Senior Guardia were incredible hosts — they treated us like family each and every day and made everyone feel so welcome.
Breakfast each morning was fantastic: fresh fruit, local Panamanian fry bread, great coffee, and so much more. Everything was fresh and delicious.
The pool was clean and refreshing, and the kids (of all ages!) loved the table tennis, billiards table, and the cabinets full of board games and books. There was always something to do between beach time and swimming.
The rooms were spotless and perfectly set up for cousins sharing space. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, which made it easy to relax after long days in the sun.
We were initially unsure about staying somewhere without access to a kitchen, but that concern disappeared quickly — the food here was the best we found along the coast. We ended up eating there every night but one!
Highly, highly recommended. We can’t wait to return.

Where Enchantment Begets Magic

Casa Guardia is a land of enchantment, where the heart discovers magic. With a view of Farrallon island, and an invitation to wander barefoot along miles of white, sandy beach, Casa Guardia extends a hospitable hand to travelers seeking a gracious few days of serenity. Owned and operated by the family Guardia, this oasis of delight offers a full range of services and dining without extravagance or pretense.
Visiting with the Patriarch is an enriching experience, itself worth the price of admission! A renaissance man and raconteur, Enrique Guardia will enliven any gathering, whether with music or his vast vault of worldly experiences. Son Tony, an engineer by trade, manages Casa Guardia with efficiency and an expert hand extended always to assist the guest.
The accommodations are comfortable, accessible and seconds from a variable depth pool and steps to the beach. The Pacific Ocean is warm, and the waves docile. The Service at Casa Guardia is unlike Panama in general: it is timely and considerate, thoughtful and attentive. On New Year eve, after an amazing dinner amongst family and friends, we built a huge pyramid of fire on the beach and later watched over 35 minutes of fireworks shot skyward from an adjacent property. The night, like the stay, was both enchanting and magical.
