Impeccable experience, first-class service.
A wonderful stay from start to finish! The Crowne Plaza Asunción exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, making me feel at home right away.

Quiet hotel, great sleeping, delicious breakfast with local dishes
This hotel has strong air conditioning, is two blocks from a supermarket, and offers airport pickups and dropoffs with one of their own staff, assuring safety and reliability for guests. I was on the sixth floor which had only six rooms so I felt as if I had the whole floor to myself!
There is a sauna and steam room/spa available during the day but I did not have time to avail myself of them. Front desk is available 24/7. Cecilia, Chañar, and Ana were always happy to help and answer any questions I had. Maintenance is there around the clock also, and they were quick to respond when I had battery issues in my room safe.
My room included breakfast and that was special, all you can eat buffet that included some local delicacies from Asunción. Hot dishes, cereals, breads, sweets, fruits were all available and replenished as needed. Apparently you can also order eggs any way you want (including omelet) but I did not realize that until halfway through my stay.
I recommend this as a good value accommodation with staff who genuinely care.

The gym was a unique feature for hotels in Paraguay!
Normally, I am not someone who writes reviews, but in this case, I decided to submit a review.
I have already been to Asuncion for the third time and have stayed at the Crown Hotel Plaza each time. I chose the hotel because it has a good location; secondly, it received good recommendations; and thirdly, and this was the decisive point, there is a gym that is truly beautiful, has a great view of the city, is very well-maintained and clean, and has nearly everything one needs.
During my current visit in June 2026, I unfortunately had to find out that the gym was moved from the fifth to the fourth floor into a small room for whatever reasons; furthermore, not all equipment was transferred down, which led to a repeated imbalance between the potential users and the available equipment. I cannot understand why this beautiful gym is no longer being used. Additionally, I must note that the spin bike was unfortunately defective from day one. Since there is only one, this was very unfortunate. As I said, this room is truly a unique feature for this hotel. Otherwise, it must be said that the staff is exceptionally accommodating, the rooms are very clean, and the food is perfectly fine.

just check another Asuncion areas if you dont want to regret
Maybe 20 years ago this was one of the the best places to stay in Asuncion; but today its just a ghost that only have to show a name. The rooms are totally in need of maintenance: the carpets need to be replaced, the Tv doesnt work, the deployed baseboards and the painting on the walls finish what you are just imagine.... unfortunately a shame.
Also the surrounding area its in total decadence against new development in some far areas of Asuncion that made this hotel in the middle of a dangerous place from 5pm to 8am without restaurants or places to go.
An additional chapter its mention that the bar/restaurant/breakfast employee are a disaster and if you want to do a complain the supervisor just tell you that you can write an email at Ana Victoria Aranda (reception chief) and wash their hands.
To finish: the variety and quality of foods are the same of many cheap truck foods presents in too many latin america / africa places (cheap and uggly caffe or tea, too dry scrambled eggs or untastes juices)
