Wonderful stay in Chachapoyas

This little hostal was the best. The service was wonderful, really friendly staff. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. There is a water heater in the room and you can use the stove in a little common area. The hotel has parking spots and they also offer hair dryer and other toiletries. The breakfast was great, they offer humitas, tamales, eggs, bread, avocado and great coffee. It is only 4 blocks from the main-square. Definitely I recommend this place.

Overall average

Overall we had no bad and no great stay in Casa Kuelap Hostal.
The location is alright, about 5-10 minutes walk to the main square (Chachapoyas is quite small).
The shower was neither hot nor cold, the room neither dirty nor super clean. At night it was not noisy but also not super quiet. Breakfast was the same as everywhere (eggs, bread, avocado, juice), but good. The garden was quite nice, the rooms freezing cold at night (we later found out that you could rent a heating fan at additional cost - I personally don't understand why this wasn't included considering the only bearable place at night was the bed under several blankets). Staff (Spanish only) didn't seem too knowledgeable concerning typical tourist topics (transportation, taxi fares etc.) and wasn't always available but was nice.
Prize was average as well, we did pay less for more in other places but overall OK.
Wouldn't go out of our way to stay here, but wouldn't mind either.

Cozy and close to Downtown

A family run place, quiet and cozy. The ideal place when you spend most of the time trekking the province. The owners were so kind to made us feel completely at ease. Highly recomended for foreign families.

Nice hotel close to Main Plaza. You can get your tour tickets in the hotel. Great price and value. Good breakfast. I will recommend it.

간단한 조식이 제공되며 직원이 매우 친절합니다. 따뜻한 물도 잘나오고, 방에 커피포트가 있어 컵라면 먹기에도 좋습니다. 다만 가까운 곳게 클럽이 있어 밤에 좀 시끄러운게 단점입니다ㅠㅠ
