Loved the staff. The room was spacious and the bed quite comfortable. Slightly odd design in the bathroom as the toilet lid couldn't open all the way. Very quiet as well. And definitely try the pastries at the shop out front. Delish!

We stayed at Atiq for 2 nights after returning from Ollantaytambo. I booked 2 rooms for 4 of us. The hotel beds were comfy but the overall property needs maintenance. The bathrooms are looking old and are not very clean. The toilet seat in my bathroom wouldn’t stay up which was annoying. The staff during the day were pleasant but the overnight staff on one night was not helpful at all. He could not get me an iron, was constantly on his phone and seemed uninterested. For a 4 star hotel I expect some amenities which were missing. For example, body lotion, hair dryer, an iron etc. I also think the towels were a little old. I know it’s a boutique hotel, but these are some basics that have been included in other hotels I’ve stayed at before.

The staff was excellent. The room was beautiful, great views and nice jacuzzi tub. The entrance and hallways could use some updates (new carpet), and it would be nice to have more selection for the breakfast options. The location of the hotel is excellent, very central and walkable to the main Plaza de Armas. I think it's a little expensive and would be a better value if it was may $20 less.

Staff are very friendly. We did not have breakfasts because we went out very early. They prepared food bags for us every early morning. Location is very convenient. But Facilities need to be updated.

Frustrating!!!

PESSIMISTIC EXPERIENCE.
When we arrived, we were well served by Daniel, who showed cordiality and commitment. However, individual care is not enough to mitigate the numerous and serious structural and operational problems of the hotel, which proved unsatisfactory in all aspects.
1. Cleaning and maintenance of the rooms:
Rooms are not properly cleaned. The impression is that they remain closed for long periods of time. During our absence throughout the day, the only provision adopted was the simple arrangement of the bed, without effective hygienization of the environment.
2. Breakfast:
Breakfast is served from 7am to 9am, a time that is incompatible with the reality of the city's tourist tours, which usually start around 5am. In addition, the service is extremely limited: it is not self-service and consists, per guest, of only two eggs, a slice of bread and black coffee. It was necessary to insist on getting coffee with milk. There are no fruits available and, even requesting that black coffee be left for the days when we left earlier, the request was not met.
3. Structure and general care:
The hotel appears to be abandoned, without proper maintenance and without proper attention to guests, which seriously compromises the experience of the stay.
We came to ATIQ with high expectations, especially after having spent great days at Hotel Tierra Viva. The four stars announced led us to believe that we would have equivalent comfort — which did not happen. On the contrary: we paid more and had a deeply frustrating experience.
We emphasize that Daniel has demonstrated genuine effort to solve the problems, however it was clear that there are structural and administrative limitations, possibly due to the management or the owners, which render any effective solution impossible.
We leave the hotel sad, frustrated and worn out.
