I loved this place.

A nice, clean, and cozy place. First-class service. Very central, half a block from the cathedral and the main square of Cusco. Very well located.

An excellent option for lodging.

A very good place, comfortable and close to the main square. The staff was always kind to us. The room does not have heating; however, it was not needed to spend the night comfortably, as the blankets are warm enough for a good night's sleep.

Excellent location

Hotel with excellent location, practically next to the Plaza de Armas. Very attentive staff. I suffered a lot from height pain and the employees were worried and offered coca tea to relieve.
The coffee is pretty simple, but ok.
The hotel saved our bags while we went to Machu Picchu, even not returning to the hotel afterwards.

Next to the weapons square.

I stayed at Hostel Triunfo in Cusco, which actually looks like a small hotel – I don’t know if they offer shared rooms, because I chose a private one. My room was on the first floor, accessed after climbing two steps. It was facing the main street and had a small balcony, from where I could observe the movement of the city. The view was amazing: on the right, the imposing Church of the Jesuits, in the Plaza de Armas, and on the left, the famous Inca wall with the stone of twelve angles. It was fascinating to see the sun illuminating the roofs of Cusco and to follow the energy of the street. The bedroom windows well insulated the noise, but not completely. As in Peru the drivers whispered a lot, sometimes the sound of the whispers woke me up at night. However, he was so tired of the long walks that he quickly went back to sleep. To help, the hostel leaves disposable ear protectors in the header – I used one day and it worked perfectly, blocking any noise. It is worth reinforcing that the window really does a good job to reduce the sound. The bed, however, was not the best; the mattress looked a little worn and deformed, which affected the comfort. Still, the room was cozy and functional. The sockets followed the standard compatible with Brazilian plugs, which made it easy to load my electronics. There was also an efficient electric heater, essential for the cold nights of Cusco. The shower offered warm water, but used a plastic curtain – although it was new and clean, it was inconvenient because the bathroom space is small and it sometimes glues to the body. Shampoo and liquid soap were available in the bathroom, which was practical. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. There was fresh bread, jelly and butter, but I didn’t like the ham much – it’s that common type served in Peru, with a different taste than we’re used to in Brazil. The coffee, unfortunately, was not good either. In Peru, it is standard to prepare a well concentrated, almost pasty coffee, which must then be diluted in hot water and, if desired, mixed with cold milk. The result is a coffee with warm milk, often with the taste of burned, because they sometimes overheat the powder. This is not exclusivity of Triumph; I have seen the same in other parts of the country. Overall, I really liked Hostel Triunfo. I felt safe, comfortable and well received. The location is excellent, virtually next to the Plaza de Armas, which makes everything more practical to explore Cusco. Despite some points, such as the bed and the coffee, I recommend for those looking for a simple stay, clean and with a privileged view.
