Great vibe. Great place to meet other trekkers and tourists.
We stayed in two different private rooms during our time there. The first was in the back and had less street noise but a lot of noise from the restaurant next door, especially at their closing time. The second room was in the front: it had some street noise but was a nicer room. I found both rooms acceptable levels of cleanliness. It is not Hilton standards, but I saw absolutely no evidence of any bugs or rodents our entire three weeks there. Overall, it was an amazing stay.

Hostel that felt like home
The trips included numerous amounts of hikes and walks and Lagunas- not all of them you have to do with an organised trip, you could do it by yourself and that info was given to us as well. Also mountain biking, rock climbing, local food places and bars etc
The facilities were good, the massive sociable kitchen was amazing and most evenings there were people cooking and chatting- felt very much like being at home with friends, which I haven’t found in too many hostels in South America yet. One night we decided it was pizza night and Aldo got everything for us to make our own pizzas!
The generosity and warmth I felt from this hostel was second to none and I would very much recommend staying here! I will miss it and thank you SO much to Aldo and Leo for the best experience of Huaraz
