Pilar’s hidden Jewel

The Walk: A peaceful 15-20 minute stroll away from the noisy, bustling traffic of the Plaza de Armas. The Setting: Nestled right on the mountain's edge in a serene neighborhood—the absolute best way to decompress after an intense day of hiking to Laguna 69 or Pastoruri Glacier. The Service: Renowned for their incredibly early breakfast hours tailored for trekkers, warm home-style dinners, and modern smart TVs to stream your favorite shows.

Hotel Gonden Kila

The hotel is very comfortable, makes you feel at home. It has all the amenities: restaurant, room service, laundry. Attention is great and super attentive. The location is also miuto good, quiet place and it is possible to walk to the center smoothly (1.5km) The only observation is as much as the hot water for the bath, which came to be missing a few times during the stay.

The staff were really helpful and kind, helping me to arrange things with minimal Spanish. The only challenge was the even with the hot water tap turned up full, the water was still too cold to shower in. My arrival was late at night so the hotel may have run out with other rooms having showers before me.

Although they did not speak English, (translator did the trick) the staff and the owner were extremely friendly accommodating and very ,very helpful.
