Things that make you go; hhmm
To start, the room was much nicer than expected and the shower was glorious (didnt realize what a privilage that was till I started traveling ) but that's the end of the positive aspects.
The bedding was thin and inadequate; the pillows disma.
Both of which I could honestly overlook if it weren't for the fact that we had nothing but problems.
Our two person booking showed up in the system as only being for one person. They managed to find us a room but they didnt want to.
Then in the morning when we went for our breakfast which was included
in the booking price they said it wasn't because of the previous booking issue. (Breakfast also only goes from 7:30 to 8:30 and includes bread and jam and instant coffee.)
And to top it all off the door bell echoed through our room all night .
This place is very much so on the verge of being a good place to stay but with all the little hassles and the complete lack of helpfulness I wouldn't come back unless it was a last resort.
I was told it was the booking site that caused the issue, but the staff didnt handle the issues well.

Nice hotel, but poorly located
We stayed at this hotel as it was quite new and had a discount price point. The hotel itself and rooms are nice and very clean. The shower was wonderful and great to have after a long day exploring the desert close by in huacachina. The location, however seems quite dangerous and we did not feel comfortable walking. Plan to arrange taxis to and from the hotel day and night. The room was quite warm so we needed to ask for a fan. The staff were accommodating but spoke little/no english. I was able to communicate with my limited Spanish, but it could be difficult if you speak another language. Bring earplugs, as there are very loud roosters and dogs directly across the street that begin making noise before sunrise. We unfortunately did not get much sleep.

New, but a little lacking
I stayed at this hotel for the reasonable prices, and it was a fine stay for what I paid. I was told that they just opened in April 2012, so it was just over a year when I visited. My mattress was so new that it still was in the plastic bag under my sheets. Thankfully they let me remove the plastic since it was quite noisy for a restless sleeper! The sheets and towels were not very high quality, but normal for Peru. There were other indications of the young age of the hotel, such as the bar code stickers still being on the tiles in the bathroom! The biggest complaint that I would have is that even though they offer breakfast, they do not have a seating area in which to eat it. It was brought to our room, but the double room does not have a table in it (we were told that the matromonial rooms do have a table). I would have also liked for the outer gate of the hotel to have been shut and locked at all times, which was not the case. There was usually someone around near the entrance to the hotel, but not always. I didn't feel unsafe since the rooms locked, but I would prefer a little more security, personally. There were other small improvements that could be made, such as oiling the hinges on the doors to minimize noise. I was pleased to find that the staff was open to my suggestions for improvement when I checked out. The staff was generally friendly and worked with me over email before I arrived.

Good Hotel, but Room for Improvement
This hotel was clean and crisp and that is always pleasant. The staff was (mostly) all very friendly and helpful. The grounds were nicely kept and it was not far from the main square.
Breakfast was served in our room, but without a table of any sort. We suggested they find a way to place a table in the double room or provide an alternate dining area. They could certainly add some things like mirror in the bedroom, a bath mat, and even a map of the city. The double room was not well laid out... not sure if they just stuck a bed in another room or if they actually planned it the way it was.
Would I stay there again? Probably. Was worth the price.

Decente muy caliente y pequeña la habitación
El lugar como tal estaría mejor en otra ubicación, hay mucho ruido (parece que hay un mercado popular) y donde está no se ve muy seguro. La habitación súper pequeña y además cero ventilación, (Ica es un lugar muy caliente), te dan un 'abanico' que no resulta muy útil. El lugar es aseado, con toallas y ropa de cama normal, y la atención de don José muy amable.
