Kind of awful

Pretty terrible experience all round. Booked online and got the barest of email confirmations. Wrote to them prior to check in asking not to be in a room by the noisy main road. Of course, we were put in a room that felt like we were on the street. Fortunately it poured rain which cleared some traffic away. Oddly, breakfast was pretty decent although they charge you 3 soles if you want scrambled eggs! The whole experience was pretty laughable but Puerto Maldonado is a port town so the standards are pretty low in general.

Look for a different place

I’m really not sure how this place got such good reviews. When we arrived, the elevator was broken and although it was fixed that night, was broken again the next morning. The receptionist (!) doesn’t speak a word of English, the shower had cold water. The windows do not seal so all the noise from outside comes right in. The curtains do not block out the light. The walls are paper thin and the noise from the corridors starts early.
The cons- the room has air conditioning and the breakfast was very nice.

Excellent hotel for business

I've been twice this month and it's really worth it. Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Meeting rooms. Very friendly service. Air conditioning (indispensable in Puerto Maldonado). Close to the center. Perhaps the best hotel in the city. The jungle resorts are in another league, but within Puerto, I think Copasu is an excellent lodging option.

Good place

We stayed one night and were surprised by the cleanliness of the piece, the quietness of the place and the good breakfast on the fifth floor, with a good view of the city.
clearly recommended for travelers visiting this city, on their way to the Peruvian Amazon.
