Great welcome and value for money

Rachel and her husband are really courteous and go to a lot of trouble to welcome you.
We stayed in two rooms (for two nights) and were basically mini apartments.
Furniture a bit dated but we were not looking for the luxury for which we were satisfied.
They also have connections with travel agency and therefore they also organize all the excursions you want to do
The city centre can be reached on foot in 10/15 minutes
Breakfast is a bit basic although not basic
A little noise from the street even if it does not overlook the main street (nothing unbearable anyway)

Great value

Really nice city view suite. Lots of room and great value for the price and includes breakfast. Nice warm shower. Very nice staff. The location is great as it is just a nice 15-minute walk from the Plaza Armas in the centre. The football stadium is just across the road if you fancy taking in a game.

Most helpful owner ever

This hotel is probably the best we stayed at since travelling Peru. The owner is really helpful and friendly, and goes out of his way to make your stay as pleasant and stress free as possible. The room was nice too, with fast WiFi and a great shower. Honestly we would have stayed longer if we hadn't already booked our tickets to Mancora. Highly recommended!

Probably the kindest woman I've ever met

In addition to letting us check in at 7am (and providing free breakfast in bed) and check out at 10pm, our host also walked with us and waited ten minutes before flagging down the correct collectivo for our visit to Chan Chan. The room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast very good. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Best hotel in Trujillo, most friendly staff!

My boyfriend and I, booked one night in Strenua hotel. Our night bus arrived really early in the morning, and the owner had made sure our room was already ready for check in, even though it was so early.
The next morning we received breakfast even though we booked only for the coming night. The room is really cosy and very clean, clean towels as well which was great.
The owner gave us recommendations for restaurants, called us a taxi to our next night bus, and provided storage for our backpacks when we asked.
These people are really really kind, and dedicated to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is super clean, with amazing breakfast and that for a really good price!
Totally recommend this place as #1 in Trujillo !
