Situated in Badian, Cuestas Beach Resort and Restaurant features a private beach area, not sandbar. We have an amazing coral reefs around 130 mtrs. from shoreline. And a huge outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a beautiful landscape.

Perfect 2 week break
Just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel, it has beautiful gardens, amazing pool, great rooms and very nice staff. The food really makes this hotel, we ate here every day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is excellent, the portion sizes are large, the presentation is very good and the price is very very cheap for the quality of food that you receive. The location is also excellent, although initially it can seem that you are in the middle of nowhere, actually you are pretty central to everything. Kawasan waterfall (probably the best waterfall in the Philippines) is just a 25 minute walk, if you just want to swim in the bottom lagoon you can do this alone, however if you want to explore the other levels then you need a guide for the canyoneering and can organise this at a very good rate through the hotel, which includes a very good complimentary lunch. You are also close to 2 other beautiful waterfalls that can easily be reached by motorbike in about 25 minutes and the sardine run at Moalboal beach can also be reached in 25 minutes, where you will see an amazing site that you won't see anywhere else in the world. A small motorbike can be rented from the hotel for a very cheap price and they will provide you with the helmets, you can use this to visit Lambug beach, which is very close an apparently one of the best beaches on mainland cebu.
The hotel can also arrange a whale shark watching tour but be prepared for a early start to beat the crowds.
The rooms are clean and modern, you have excellent WiFi, safebox, very comfortable beds, 18 film channels and amazing views from the balcony. It's a nice quite resort and a perfect place to unwind and relax. The Danish owner and his filipino wife are extremely friendly and helpful, they have built this place from scratch and you can see how passionate they are about their beautiful home. He is a former chef which explains the quality of the food.
We will definitely be back.
I read some previous previous comments about building work, there is some building work but I stayed for 2 weeks and didn't hear 1 bang. They are trying to improve the resort and obviously you can see the new building, in no way does it interfere with your holiday or cause any disruption.

Great hotel, loved the location for canyoneering and whale sharks. Owner was super nice and asked us if everything was good daily. Breakfast was included and very good. Ate at the restaurant for dinner twice and food was great. Recommend!

Beautiful Place, Toxic Management: We felt like prisoners, not guests.
While the resort is aesthetically beautiful and serves excellent food, our family’s stay was completely ruined by the owner’s hostile and discriminatory attitude toward us as Filipino guests. Despite our efforts to be flexible and cooperative—even paying the driver extra and cleaning our own rooms to avoid conflict—the owner was incredibly condescending, calling us "liars" over a transportation headcount that fit perfectly in a 15-seater van. We spent our vacation feeling anxious and "shushed" for normal conversation, trapped in a poorly maintained room with weak AC and broken fixtures. This place clearly caters to a foreign market and lacks the basic respect and hospitality that every paying guest deserves.

Expedia and hotels.com dicription and piqtures did not alighne. We booked a house with poolview and bath and was offered a bamboo hut with no toilet and bath.
Manager was very helpfuld but could in the end do nothing to the fact that our booking was not the same as in his system. He offered us dinner witch we was happy about but in the end we wasted two nights booking and whent somewhere else. What we saw whwn there it looks nice BUT be awhare what rooms you book
