Cheap & great locatoon

Stayed in Le Village twice, at the start and end of my travels around Cebu. The private room is small and windowless but with good pillows and a fan. The staff are super nice and it's a short walk away from Ayala. Perfect place for a budget accomodatoon

Filthy

As soon as we checked into the room we were hit by the pungent smell of dirty socks. The rooms are really dark and claustrophobic.
None of the sockets worked.
The toilet is just indescribable - drops of urine and feces all around the seat and yellow/brownish drops in the sink too.
We went to the reception to ask for our money back as we wanted to leave the hostel but they didn’t want to give us a full nor partial refund. After a discussion, and after having to explain them the terms & conditions of their own hostel (!!!) I finally got some of the money back and we could book a room in a much better hostel for just two extra pounds. Avoid at all cost. Disgustingly dirty and rude staff with attitude!

Good location

Initially accommodated to a private room. Room was only with fan, no aircon, no windows. Very hot. Ideal for boiling eggs. Same night, staff has relocate us to a 4 bed room with aircon. So far has not offered refund. Rooms dirty and smelly. The only good thing was the location of the hostel. Hostel is overpriced and overrated.

Great place for cheap in Cebu!

We went here after a recommendation from a friend. We arrived without reservation and got 2 beds in a 4 bed dorm with AC for 1 night. Ended up with the room to ourselves. 4 big lockers inside the room. Wifi works great. Free welcome beer. Hostel and our room was super clean. Shared bathrooms and showers were fine. I think there was some hot water? Fresh linens but no towels(too lazy to go ask). No breakfast anywhere near the hostel. Not within walking distance of bus stations and definitely not close to airport.

Filthy

My room smelled very scetchy and the hostel was overall dirty. The begbugs were everywhere and I really hope none of them climed into my bag. The hostel has potential but need a serious sanitation.
Besides that it seems that this is the only decent hostel I Cebu with party, food and people to hang with.
