Location, location, location

Perfect location. Have breakfast then step off the balcony and into the water to swim with the sardines and turtles. Clean, comfortable room. Only downside is the showers were cold with very low water pressure. Better showers can be found poolside though they are outdoors and just for a rinse-off after you swim.

To flee

Unsanitary room, smell of humidity, damaged sheets... no curtains on the glass door so daylight from 5 a.m., walls so thin that you can hear the neighbors as if you were there,...
The location is facing the sea but the locals love to party there (noise, music and karoke until the sea is too high for them to stay there)
Hot water to forget, non-existent for 2 days.
Breakfast included in the room price but more than 1.5 hours of waiting before being served. Finally two slices of bread, two small slices of bacon, (well just the bacon fat), the coffee is actually a cup of hot water with Nescafé powder. Etc……
If you complain to the staff then they no longer know how to speak English!
All this for the modest sum of 80 euros per night!!

Decent stay, value for money

Selected Marina Village, due to its location right next to the Sardine shoals at Moalboal.
Its bang in the middle of several restaurants, bars by the coast. No beach to speak of.
The room was decent, quite basic, it was cooled by a Window AC. A decently sized balcony to dry one's scuba gear.
Breakfast coupons were provided on checkin. Basic breakfast. juice / coffee, eggs made to order along with a side of sausage / bacon.
The staff was quite warm and efficient. The cleaning lady would ensure the room was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided everyday.
Only complaint was the bathroom had a window over-looking the passage, which people passing by could see into. Luckily my neighbouring room was empty, so didnt face any problem, but its something simple enough that can be resolved.
There was a small pool by the restaurant, didnt use it, as one had crystal clear water where one could snorkel.

Good accommodation in Moalboal

I stayed here for 3 nights on a dive trip. Very simple accommodation but clean room and bathroom. Faulty shower but there’s a bucket available, problem solved. All rooms had a small air conditioning window type unit, a bit noisy but sure it’s cooling the room. Well, not a Hilton ain’t it?

Great location!!

We stayed here for 4 nights. You can’t beat this location, it is not beach front but just a 1 minute walk from the beach and House reef. You can snorkel so close to shore! The room was nothing fancy but was clean, comfortable and had hot water. All the rooms had a little porch to sit on and a line to dry clothes on. Would definitely stay here again!
