Our stay at Southpole Central Hotel is amazing. The crew is very polite and helpful. The room is clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is soft very conducive for sleeping.Nice location very accessible to malls, supermarket, Restaurants and laundry. What I like the most is the food,we order food at their restau and surprisingly its cheaper but with large quantity and also delicious.Breakfast meals is decent ,a few menu serve but its ok.Overall our 5 days stay in their Hotel is good,we relax and enjoy our vacation in Cebu.Thank you Southpole Central Hotel will be coming back again.😊

Not as advertised. Facilities not available as per booking.
Attempted to charge double the price of two bottles of beer back to hotel room, as roof top bar not available throughout the day. Forced to consume on street as wouldn't pay surcharge.
Advertised buffet breakfast, later told only provide buffet breakfast, depending on guest numbers. Offered, soup rice and boiled eggs as breakfast choice. Two boiled eggs for breakfast, not worth the cost.
Also displayed beside elevator. Back up generator out of service. Pretty poor considering potential for power failure dut to approaching storm season, air con etc could easily be unavailable.
Sacastic staff, mimicking and laughing when airing complaint.
Stricter rules of do's and don't. Even a hostel would likely be a better alternative to this hotel..
Booked for two weeks left after one night.
Supervisor helpful and they did refund my money, but an experience never to be repeated.

Quite an old hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. A lot of room for improvement on cleanliness side. My room has mosquitoes and I managed to kill a few. Some stains on wall. I thought is paint but when I wipe with wet wipes, I could remove it. There are some stains on chair too. At first I thought there is no hot water. But when I took a bath again at later, there is. Thus I think it might due to too many ppl taking bath at the same time. If you walk left from the exit, there's a night bazaar. Quite a lot of nice local food there. And if you continue until the junction, there's a mall and nice lechon restaurant. On the right, there's 7 11 and pharmacy. So location is quite nice and convenient.

The hotel is located close to all the major historical and cultural sights (cathedrals, museums, casas, port - it'll take you 20 minutes maximum to get anywhere you want on foot). There are two 7-Eleven shops and a couple of malls with huge supermarkets nearby. The hotel offers breakfast as advertised, but also lunch and dinner. I didn't book it during my stay, though, because the variety wasn't particularly striking to my taste.
The room is OK: quite spacious and not too dark. The cleaning service functions daily. They don't offer any water or toothbrushes/toothpaste. The AC is pretty old and loud, but it is often the case in cities other than Manila (judging from my experience). Personally, I didn't have any problems during my stay there.

Very good location
