Good for a Stopover

My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel before our long flight home to the States. The room was quite compact, with limited space for all of our suitcases and dive gear. However, the beds were comfortable and clean, and the shower was nice with good, warm water.
I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. They had a chef making omelets, and the American-style pancakes were delicious. The coffee was also great—nice and strong.
The staff was very accommodating, especially Charm, who helped me resolve an issue when I accidentally booked two rooms instead of one.
We didn’t get a chance to use the pool since we were only there for the afternoon before flying out the next day. But its cute and located on the top floor with a nice view of the city.
The hotel isn’t located directly on Rizal Boulevard, but it’s an easy 15–20-minute walk. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll there and visited the fish, meat, and vegetable markets on the way. It was fun to see all the fresh produce and how everything is sold, and we even got to taste some fresh tuna from one of the vendors.
Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay for a short stopover.

Poor experience

Hotel demanded 1000 php cash only deposit. What is this 1950? I should have been informed of this before I arrived so that I could have stayed at a normal hotel. Digital safe didn’t work correctly, it only worked with a key. Safe Was not big enough for a laptop.

Excellent

Great hotel, very well placed, rooftop pool at the top and a very good restaurant very low prices.
We must not forget all the staff who are in the small care.
Thanks to them

A very solid hotel. All the facilities were superb.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly.
The property is spotless.
The facilities all worked perfectly.
The shower was great- lots of hot water. There was even hot water in the tap, rare for the Philippines.
The bed was terrific; the WiFi worked perfectly; the air conditioner was great.
There’s a water station on each floor, which I appreciate.
I also appreciated the email correspondence with the front desk, prior to my arrival. They answered promptly and were very helpful.
There are only two negatives, but I won’t detract from the overall grade.
1. The design of the toilet placement in the bathroom is beyond belief awful!
I am a thin person, and my right side was still crunched up against the shower glass. Horrible design!! Incomprehensible how bad this is. If you are a large person, this alone would be a reason to reconsider staying at this hotel.
2. And this is for management, if you are interested…. I considered extending my stay, but I didn’t want to change rooms. So prior to extending my booking, I asked the front desk,
“I will stay longer, if i can remain in the same room. I won’t extend my booking, if i need to pack everything up, and then, unpack everything again, in a different room.” To my amazement, the man at reception actually told me,
“No. You will need to check out of that room, come downstairs, and we will give you a different room.”
So you lost additional revenue - and you had lots of empty rooms - this
receptionist cost you money. He’s been very poorly trained.
I will still give you 5-stars, but your reception staff could use some customer relations training. I dealt with 3, different agents at reception, and they all had “attitude.” They were all looking for reasons to say “no”, rather than to say “yes.”

Live life in colours

My family and I stayed at this truly unique and very colourful hotel in Dumaguete City for a total of 12 nights. We were positively surprised that the rooms (Premier Triple & Suite Room) we chose were actually much bigger than the photos I've seen on their website.
The rooms were immaculately clean with very comfortable beds, pillows and high quality linens. Considering that the hotel is located at the heart of the city, we found our rooms quiet enough to get some good sleep. The small refrigerator and a proper coffee machine was so much appreciated.
I was impressed with how they managed to offer a variety of delicious breakfast considering the space they have. We enjoyed the fresh fruits, local delicacies, soup and the egg station.
We experienced power outage a couple of times but the hotel's backup generator was up and running within a couple of minutes.
The service of this hotel is topnotch! From airport pick up and drop-off, security, frontdesk, café staff, kitchen staff, housekeeping staff and management, they all made us feel at home and safe. We checked out after 5 days to visit Siquijor for 3 days and the management allowed us to leave our big suitcases behind since we were booked to stay here again for another 7 days.
I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to visit the safest city in the Philippines.
