Disrespectful and rude

For our last part of our holiday in El Nido, we wanted to have a nice place to relax. We booked a deluxe room for 4 nights in what appeared to be a nice hotel at the beach. It turned out to be our worst nightmare.
We opted for a deluxe room instead of basic so we could have air-con. The room itself was not that bad, the bed was comfy and big and there was a table and two chairs, that’s it. We had to put our clothes on the ground. Quite disappointing for a deluxe room. On top of that the place is a construction site, very dirty everywhere and not very safe.
But the worst part comes now, when we asked for the remote control for the air-con, we were told we had to pay extra (seriously?). We were obviously not happy. The manager of the place told us she was too tired to handle the problems then and the day after we were basically kicked out of the hotel. They cancelled our booking for the 3 remaining nights. But we didn’t find out until the morning after, since they turned off the Wi-Fi. The owner, the most arrogant French guy I have ever met, didn’t have the courage to face us and have a decent conversation. He was too coward to admit he was the owner. They kept on telling us that the owner was away, not available. And got a fake phone number. We learned later, talking to the neighbours, that the French “gentleman” was actually the owner himself. People like this shouldn’t be allowed to face customers. This is the worst experience we’ve had while travelling over the years. Telling us we are unhappy people and that they don’t want the pressure we are putting on them, letting us on the street... unbelievable!!
We packed our bags and got ready to leave, but they wouldn’t let us. They blocked the doors until the owner himself checked the rooms... everywhere, even under the mattress...
It’s a shame people have to face situations like this. You should reconsider running a hotel with this attitude...

Disrespectful management.

This is by far the worst travel experience I have ever had and I did quite some travelling.
We booked a luxery room for 4 nights. The room was nice, clean and big, really big. It had a bed a table and 2 chairs. And that was litteraly it. We had to put everything on the ground, clothes, charging phones, etc because there was no infrastructure. The beach vieuw was overrated on the website and the property was basically a construction site. It rained inside the room at night. The wifi didnt work more than half of the time and at 23h30 they cut us off completely. Not what we expected for the end of our holiday but we could have lived with that.
 • It also appeared that the luxery room didn't have airco. Well it did but we had to pay extra for that. And here is where the problems started for us. We went to talk to the manager about it. Basically telling her that a luxury room should include airco. Turns out she was tired of travelig from Puerto Prinscessa to El Nido wich is about 6 hours and didn't really feel like hearing our concerns. Well we were tired to, we came from Bohol. We took a boat, a plane and rented a car from Puerto Prinscessa to get to El Nido... After having a fruitless conversation we came to the agreement that we were going to talk to the boss about it the next morning because he was not available at the moment(he actually was there the whole time we found out afterwards).
Now it gets really interesting. We woke up and were told check out time was at 11h30. Strange because we booked for 4 nights. They just cancelled our 3 next nights directly through booking without telling us. Something we couldnt check because they turned off the wifi. They just kicked us out basically for a disagreement about the airco that could have been easilly fixed. The boss was apparently not happy we were not going to write a positive review about the place. While that was never our idea because we didn't even speak with the boss yet. Even so we live in a world of tripadvisor, booking, facebook, google... Thats what people do, write reviews, good or bad. If you can't handle that then don't go into the hotelbussiness. For me, I dont write reviews unless it's really good or exceptionally bad. In this case the latter. We asked for the boss again in the morning but he still was not available. Instead a french guy came to the rescue of this unexperienced manager. We asked if he was the boss but he sad no. Turns out after some asking around that he was actually mr Franswa, the boss, himself and didn't have the respect to have a decent conversation with us.
There was nothing left for us to do than pack our bags and go because there was no room for any compromise.
Funny fact, we were not allowed off the property with our car before the boss himself checked our rooms personally for any damages. He litteraly turned the room inside out to see if we didn't destroy it. After seeing we left the room undamaged we could leave the property.
Would I recommend this place? No! Not because of the accomodation or anything like that but just because of the lack of respect towards us as customers. We are all about finding solutions and compromisses when there is a problem. In this case this was just not possible and that is really sad. It could have been a perfect closure to our already wonderful holiday but sadly this is not how it turned out.

Dishonest and disrespectful staff. One of the worst experiences I ever had when staying at a hotel

We booked two Deluxe rooms for two night stay and we got all but a deluxe experience, both in terms of treatment and service.
Because we were discomforted with the non Deluxe service (this means site under construction, no AC - when the deluxe room clearly says it has ac - no sea views, dust, trash, dirtiness in the surroundings) we tried to solve the issues with the staff team. The supposed to be manager told us she was tired to do nothing and suggested us to cancel. We didn’t want to continue a non useful conversation and agreed with her to call her boss next day after a good rest. So next day we woke up and at the reception they told us our check out was at 11.30. They cancelled the rest of our stay just because they wanted! Because we were “complaining” about their service.
When talking again with the girl a man appears into scene accusing us of being bad people, dishonest and rude, saying also that we were unhappy people and that we were putting a lot of pressure on them. This man told us he wasn’t the owner. And he basically lied to us, because indeed, he was.
When we were leaving the property from which we were kicked out they even blocked the entrance meanwhile checking the rooms to see if there was something “bad” After our stay. You kidding me? Like if we were criminals of thieves.
I have traveled to many places around the world and for many years ,and have never experienced a treatment like this. I definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone. The worst customer service I ever experienced in my life and also, a lie in more visual terms, because the site is not even finished and the whole place is dirty and under construction.
