The Place to Stay in Bucana Beach (near el Nido)

We had a wonderful stay at Kattegat Beachfront Villa. The location is incredibly peaceful that makes it easy to truly relax and unwind with a nearby village (typical philippines fishing village (with very friendly people but not prestine).
There are only three villas on the property, each with ample space and beautiful views facing the waterfront, which made our stay feel private and exclusive.
Julius was an exceptional host—so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and was always happy to assist with recommendations and arrangements.
We loved being able to walk along the beach without the crowds, and there are a few really good local restaurants nearby that added to the authentic, laid-back experience. If you’re looking for a quiet beachfront escape away from busy tourist spots, this is the perfect place.

Simple but sufficient accomodation in great location

Beautiful local location - not in a touristy area, right on the beach (lovely beach with no stingers). Local life going on around you. Bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. PJ is always on hand to help with anything you need - and always with a smile. Hiring a car made it easier to come and go (you can park inside the property). Kitchenette was good enough to prepare simple meals. In low season, not much is open on the beach front.
We weren’t expecting the showers to be cold (no hot water option) and wished that was made clear when we were booking (cold showers in a hot place is fine, if you’re expecting it), the aircon doesn’t really work and sounds like a tractor (couldn’t manage in the peak of summer).

A hidden gem

Located on a quiet Bucana beach, this 3 - room hidden gem is ran by Julius & his wife.
As soon as we arrived, Julius sat us by the bar, and offered us some beer on the house & explained about the place & the vicinity.
Julius was always around if you needed any assistance, giving us the local tips.
Would recommend this clean & spacious place to anyone.
