Breakfast with a view...

Wonderful place - just 8 spotless rooms of which 3 in the front have full sea view - on the quiet beach of Corong-Corong, away from busy and noisy El Nido town, but still within walking distance (15' on foot or 5' by tuk-tuk). Very well maintained property with lots of plants. All rooms were upgraded in 2025 and now have fan, good air-conditioning, hot shower and a wardrobe. Mosquito nets are not necessary in an A/C room. Good WiFi. Free water, tea and coffee station. Very nice freshly cooked breakfast (go for the Filipino breakfast, with rice, instead of the 2 pieces of toasted bread) served on your terrace or in the front garden. The views of Bacuit bay are spectacular. Rooms are cleaned on request. Reception can organise tours and transport for you, pick-up included, without supplement. Staff are very polite, helpful and friendly; nothing is too much for them. Manager Jody and her husband Rhonald even bought me a present because I stayed 12 nights at their cottages. I have only 2 suggestions for them: soundproof windows (to avoid being woken up by loud Americans or young children running around early in the morning; in the evening it's generally very quiet) and maybe a few sunbeds in the front garden, to relax? Otherwise, it's perfect. Thank you for everything Richard, Maïra, Mimi and Tongtong: you're all doing a very good job. See you next time!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so glad that you loved our beachfront location, the proximity to local restaurants, and that you found your room to be perfectly clean!
We are, however, truly sorry to hear that your breakfast experience was only average and that the excursion with our partner provider was disappointing. Providing memorable experiences is our priority, and we take your feedback seriously. We will be reviewing our breakfast offerings and having a discussion with our tour partners to ensure their services meet the high standards our guests expect.

Amazing staff

Beautiful accommodation. Great location but feels secluded and private. Staff are so lovely and helpful (laundry, bike hire, transfers). And the breakfast is great!

The pits

Checked in today at 3pm.
Left the dump soon after.
Yes the pictures look quite nice that they use.
I reckon they must be at least 8 years old
Our room number4 . It's tiny.
Yes a sea view through frosted louvered window .
I had booked triple room for 2 persons.
Management disagreed.
Said we could move but wanted 850 peso extra per night.
Also crawling with ants.
Pitiful aircon.
It is awful.
Beach in front is filthy too.
Manager totally unhelpful

Basic beach cottage

Stayed at Mina Grande for 4 days in March 2022. Basic room, as advertised. Couple that owns it are very nice, very accomodating. Located right on the beach in a quiet area. Good aircon, spotty wi fi. Covers the basics, but the bathroom is tiny. Great view of the bay from your door. Would definitely stay here again next time I visit El Nido.

WORST PLACE TO STAY

We booked and paid our stay from home. We arrived and were greeted by the world's least accommodating staff. As we checked into our room, well first of all we did not get the room we have booked! there were animals crawling all over the place, there were stains on the bedding and smelling like it had never been washed. You bathe over the toilet and the water smells a lot. We chose to check out after 10 minutes after, which they try to say that we have to pay for the stay (which we had already done from home) and we show them the receipt for we have paid etc. they play stupid and shout at one and think they can cheat one. Terrible place, rather walk 100 meters further down the road there are very nice hostels and hotels and friendly staff.
