Enough with great breakfast
Unfortunately, the room is not soundproofed and you can hear traffic noises until late at night.
The rooms are spacious and bright, the bed is comfortable and the cleaning is sufficient.
Breakfast with a wide choice.

An adequate hotel, but nothing special
South Anchorage Inn falls into the latter category.
The room was very large. That was very nice. The air conditioner worked well, and the WiFi was excellent - never had a glitch in 4 days.
They only have a very thin sheet with which to cover yourself when you sleep.
The problem is that with the air conditioner running, you freeze at night. You can’t turn the A/C off, or you would burn up. Such a simple solution.
Put a duvet or a thicker blanket on the bed.
Unfortunately, it rained nonstop so all excursions were canceled, and you were forced to stay indoors a lot.
On Tuesday, 8/26, I decided I would go out and grab some food and bring it back to the room. I asked the lady at reception if i could borrow an umbrella for 15-20 minutes. She didn’t answer me, but turned to the other receptionist, 10 feet to her right. She also declined to answer me. She just shook her head, from side to side,
indicating that they could not lend me an umbrella.
I worked for many years at an international hotel chain. What we did is lent customers umbrellas, but they had to sign for them when they borrowed the umbrella. If they failed to return the umbrella, we charged their credit card.
This was very poor service and i was not pleased. At the very least I should have gotten a “i’m very sorry, sir, but we don’t have umbrellas.” But to just get a shake of the head, and no verbal response was really offensive.
The breakfast I felt was adequate but not very good. Portions were small and the scrambled eggs were hardly edible.
I felt this hotel was highly overpriced.
From the airport, it’s about a 13 minute ride. There are no taxis. The trikes are
300 pesos, but if you have 2 or more people it’s probably best to contact the hotel and ask them to arrange a pickup.
The shuttle van to puerto princesa takes about 5 hours and costs 600-700
pesos.

Good stay but v basic
Location is the best, right in the middle of the town where restaurants and bars are at your doorstep.
Kind staff
Decent breakfast
Cons:
Noisy street can be a disturbance up until 1am
Noisy air conditioning
V basic room amenities I.e. no kettle, fridge, no lift
Overall for the price we paid we are happy and we recommend if you don’t mind staying in a basic room
Excellent location
