Vellago Resort is the definition of barefoot luxury.
A private island with only six stunning rooms, where exclusivity meets genuine warmth. From the very first moment, you don’t feel like a guest you feel like family.
What we loved most is the effortless freedom: no bills to sign, no checking drink tabs, no food or excursion receipts. Everything simply flows. It truly feels like your own holiday home.
Waking up here is pure magic. You open your eyes to an extraordinary view, the sea gently bouncing against your bedroom, and an instant smile appears every single morning. It’s the kind of place that instantly slows you down and makes you breathe deeper.
The dedicated staff are exceptional: discreet, caring, and always one step ahead, making sure every detail feels personal and sincere. And the owner’s presence and vision are felt throughout this isn’t just a resort, it’s a place created with heart.

A little paradise
We had an amazing stay at Vellago Resort. Everything was perfect, the room with views, attentive staff, quality food. I highly recommend the romantic dinner that exceeded our expectations. A 5/5 for us.

Very moved. We kept coming back — which says everything
My partner and I first visited Vellago as a quick stop during El Nido Tour A and ended up completely changing our plans because of it.
From the moment we arrived, Gian — who was serving us — was so friendly, accommodating and easy to chat to that we decided to get a day pass and come back the next day. That quickly turned into coming back every day. We actually started looking forward to catching the little private boat over each morning.
The resort itself is beautiful and very peaceful — it feels quite tucked away from the busier parts of El Nido. But what really makes it is the people.
Gian was consistently brilliant — attentive without being overbearing, and just genuinely fun to be around. Irene, the (very glamorous) manager, was also fantastic and made us feel incredibly welcome — like we were being looked after properly rather than just passing through.
They also have 4 or 5 sausage dogs, which are a highlight in themselves. The first time we arrived, one of them (Bella) came bounding down the beach to greet us and we both joked that this must be what the afterlife looks like.
We ended up booking the romantic dinner package one evening and it was genuinely special — really thoughtfully put together and beautifully done. My partner was in tears. Gian even serenaded us with two songs, including one in Spanish for him, which was such a lovely, personal touch.
It also wouldn’t be fair not to mention the wider team, because the whole place runs incredibly well. The boat crew were always punctual and friendly and made the daily transfers feel easy and relaxed. The bartender was great, and every other member of staff we interacted with — even briefly — was warm, attentive and professional. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everything ran smoothly without ever feeling formal or stiff. It’s clear there’s a strong team behind the scenes and that the place is very well managed.
We’ve stayed in a lot of places and this is some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced. Couldn’t recommend it more.

The ABSOLUTE BEST RESORT we have ever stayed at!! Daisy, Leah, MARTY & all of the staff are AMAZING! The luxury & comfort of the resort were unmatched. We woke every morning to the water view & breakfast on the balcony. We relaxed on the beach, kayaked & snorkeled with provided items. Drinks at sunset with a beautiful dinner set up on the beach was included. 1000/10 recommend to unwind. Perfect honeymoon getaway.

Please note that Vellago Resort is only accessible by a 10-minute boat ride. The property provides complimentary round-trip boat transfers for arrival and departure, additional boat trips cost P800 per way to Corong Corong. We can organize El Nido Airport shuttle service P1200 per way or to Puerto Princessa for P7000. Please contact the property directly at least 24 hours prior to arrival if you wish to use the service. Please note, the last boat transfer to Vellago is 18.00 as night boats are not allowed by the coast guard.
