An unexpected week in paradise
I arrived in Boracay with plans to continue on to El Nido but unfortunately my flight was cancelled. After spending five extremely stressful hours at the airport, I found myself unexpectedly stuck in Boracay for a week with no accommodation arranged.
I rushed to get a boat to the island and an e-trike to look for a hotel and initially considered staying at the Crimson. While searching on Google, I realised that the Mövenpick was right next door. I decided to get another etrike and walk in and ask about availability and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and genuinely encouraged me to stay for the week. In particular, Grace at reception was absolutely exceptional. She immediately put me at ease, helped arrange a wonderful room and continued checking on me throughout my stay to make sure everything was going well. Her warmth, professionalism and genuine care were first class.
And then there is the resort itself. The grounds are spectacular — beautifully maintained, peaceful, lush and incredibly picturesque. The gardens are simply stunning and the whole property feels like a little piece of paradise. It’s far superior ground wise to the neighbouring 5 stars and the beaches are linked - so crimson , shangri la and movenpick would share same beach.
What started as a stressful and unexpected situation ended up becoming one of the highlights of my trip. I am genuinely so happy that I chose Mövenpick rather than the hotel I had originally considered.
Exceptional service from Grace and the entire team, beautiful surroundings and a truly memorable stay. Thank you to everyone at Mövenpick for turning a very stressful travel situation into such a great experience. I would happily return without the stress and in the right weather to avoid slipping down stairs :)

Absolute paradise (and gluten free friendly!)
Amazing!
This hotel is absolutely amazing, everything was perfect for our stay.
The hotel and grounds are so beautiful and the private beach is peaceful and calm. The rooms were spacious and very modern, our balcony overlooked the ocean which was lovely.
The staff really help make this place special as well. My daughter needs a gluten free diet and after discussion with Chef Gary and Gelo they made her gluten free pasta, pizzas and pancakes. She was delighted! Gelo was so helpful in other areas as well, helping my elderly parents feel comfortable and going above and beyond every day.
We will 100% be coming back here. We have traveled all over the world and have to say this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
Tip: there is no ATM on the resort or the two hotels near by. We booked boat trips from Angel on the beach and had to venture for cash. Next time we will bring some with us so we can book boat trips and tuktuks into the main town easier

Great holiday
We had a great time here, excellent service, food and the beach is amazing. The beach is very big with a lot of sunbeds, the nicest beach with beautiful sunset. The spa was also amazing. Strongly recommend.
